Chapter 436

Grace really felt like laughing.

"Speaking of purpose, I actually do have one." Grace looked at him with a pair of truthful eyes: "I hope

that those who have suffered misfortune can cherish the rest of their lives. Those who have made

mistakes will repent and start a new life whereas those who have been doing good deeds will be

rewarded as well.

I only pray for the best after doing good and I hope I can live the rest of my life at ease.

I also hope that Heinz can stay happy and will not be entangled with the past. If there is harmony

between all of us, it would be beneficial to you, as well as my relationship with him.novelbin

I hope that my son can grow up in an environment where his parents are united and loving.

I also hope that the next time I meet all of you, we can smile at each other instead of mock each other.

This is my purpose."

"If you say that I am greedy, there're still more. I hope to make peace with you. In the future, I can visit

you occasionally and do my best to help you. You will have a friend from the younger generation and I

get myself two good friends."

Not only Nathan was stunned, even Chief Stone and Pearlyn were stunned.

Heinz, who was outside the door, was also shocked to hear the words.

The rims of his eyes were wet with tears.

The bodyguard was also very touched when he heard that. He took a glance at Heinz carefully.

Heinz pursed his lips and restrained himself.

"Hey!" Nathan sighed, looked at Grace, and said, "Miss Smith, I apologize to you."

Grace laughed at once. "Uncle, I also apologize to you."

Nathan also smiled and felt a little embarrassed. "I'm getting older and I'm too pretentious. Don't take it

to heart. I'm just a little bit emotional."

"That's understandable," Grace said frankly. "All parents love their children."

"Thank you for your understanding," Nathan twitched his lips. "You should go back to work now, I'll

think about it."

"Alright," Grace nodded and stood up. "Uncle, auntie, I'll visit you another time."

Nathan was stunned. "Will you really come to visit us?"

"If you don't mind, I'll come."

Nathan nodded, "Okay, come if you are free. I really enjoy hearing you scolding people. Although I was

unable to argue over you, it's still very enjoyable."

The four of them all laughed.

Chief Stone also said, "Cousin-in-law, we are glad to see you acting like this. Look at how

embarrassing and uncomfortable the situation was yesterday.

Thankfully, Grace is reasonable and finally you made peace with her. She still needs to go to work and

it's already time. I will send her to the office now."

''Hurry up then," said Pearlyn, looking at Grace. Suddenly, she removed the bracelet from her hand and

handed it to Grace. "Girl, this is a gift from your uncle and I. Thank you for coming and talking to us."

Grace looked at Pearlyn and immediately shook her head. "Auntie, this is not necessary. This is too

expensive. I have already gotten your message and I cannot take this."

"You're belittling me then," Pearlyn said.

"She is stupid," Nathan snorted. "This girl is just a fool."

Chief Stone took it from Pearlyn and stuffed it into Grace's hand. She said, "Take it, take it. This is what

Aunt Drake wants to do. She has no one else to give it to. It's yours now, and you can keep it."

She had no one else to give it to.

Those words were extremely heart-wrenching.

Grace went to her bed, bent down and hugged Pearlyn, whispering, "Thank you, Auntie, I'll come back

to see you again."

Pearlyn froze, then nodded.

The atmosphere was warm, but also sad.

Chief Stone quickly left with Grace.

As soon as she opened the door, Grace saw Heinz. He was standing a metre away, looking at her. His

eyes were deep and bright.

Chief Stone was also stunned. She opened her mouth but didn't say anything and she managed to

close the door in time.

She walked up to Heinz and whispered, "I'm sorry, Heinz."

Heinz didn't say a word and just looked at Grace.

Chief Stone could see their emotions so she didn't say anything. She patted Grace on the shoulder and

went back to the ward.

Grace was also surprised. She didn't expect to see Heinz when she came out.

She looked at him, walked over, and said softly, "Why are you here?"

He remained silent.

Heinz looked at her deeply. The next moment, he suddenly reached out, grabbed her waist, and held

her in his arms.

He then carried her a few steps forward, away from the door of the ward.

When he reached the corner of the walkway, he turned around, put Grace in his arms, and looked

down at her.

"I'm really late," Grace looked at him. "Can you send me back? I might not make it on time."

"Grace," Heinz said in an extremely low and hoarse voice.

But it was so restrained and attractive.

Grace looked at him and said: "Did you hear me?"

"Grace." Heinz called her name again.

Grace whispered: "I'm sorry, I actually knew it. I knew it when you confessed that day. I knew you went

to the grave that day, so I guessed everything."

So that's how it was.

Heinz was extremely surprised.

It turned out that she had known it for a long time. She had known about it that day. No wonder her

words were so strange these few times.

Yet she had been so kind.

He was ashamed of his cowardly act.

He wasn't honest enough, and he had been assuming her thoughts.

Looking at the kind-hearted woman in front of him, Heinz's gaze deepened.

"Don't apologize to me. I'm the one who should apologize," Heinz said in a hoarse voice. He looked

down at her and said, "You're so kind-hearted, but I've done bad things. The better you are, the worse I

feel."

After being taken aback for a moment, she chuckled and lowered her head to look at his watch. She

was going to be late.

"Heinz." Her hand grabbed his arm: "I'm really running late. Let's talk about it in the evening. I have to

go back to the newspaper office now."

He actually had a lot of things to say, but he didn't know how to voice them out in such a short amount

of time.

He nodded. "Okay, I'll send you to the newspaper office and we'll talk about it later in the evening."

"You settle the child in the evening."

"Alright." He nodded. "Leave it to me!"

He drove steadily and speedily with Grace sitting quietly inside the car.

He did not say much along the way.

When he reached the newspaper office entrance, Grace looked at him and hurriedly said: "I'm already

late, Heinz, I'm going in now."

'TH pick you up tonight." Heinz got out of the car to see her off.

"Okay," said Grace as he walked inside.

Heinz also followed her in.

"What, are you coming in?" she asked.

"Walking in the back door with Hermione Lowe."

"What do you mean?"

"Let's go in first," Heinz reached out and held her shoulders.

The two of them walked through the door together.

Grace hurriedly broke free of him and entered. When Chuck saw her, he said immediately, "Grace, the

prosecutor is here to look for you. Go to the editor's room now." "Looking for me?" Grace was stunned,

not knowing what was happening.
