Chapter 437

"Yes, looking for you," Chuck said to her. "The three of them are at the editor's office."

"Why are they looking for me?" Grace asked again.

Heinz was silent. Although he was a little surprised, he could roughly guess what was going on.

"I don't know," replied Chuck. Then, he looked at Heinz and smiled, saying, "Mr. Jones, you're here

too."

Heinz nodded slightly, and then said to Grace, "They are most probably here for the final inquiry.

Lorenzo's case is about to be brought to court."

She nodded and said, "I see. Let's go, I'll go to the editor's office first."

They quickly walked towards the editor's office.

When she knocked on the door, she heard Hermione's voice coming from inside. "Come in."

Grace pushed the door open and walked in. Sure enough, she saw three people sitting on the

reception sofa, two men and one woman, all in their uniforms.

Hermione was also seated.

When she entered the room, Heinz followed closely behind.novelbin

As soon as the prosecutors saw Grace, they were taken aback, and said, "Mr. Jones is here too?"

Heinz walked in and nodded slightly. He looked at them and said, "Good day."

"Since Mr. Jones is here, have a seat please." Hermione said quickly.

Soon, Heinz was also seated.

"Mr. Jones, Miss Smith, we're here to ask Miss Smith some questions. We might even need her to

testify at court," the female prosecutor said.

"Okay, I'll do what I need to do. I'll be fully cooperative," Grace said frankly.

"Well, Miss Smith, let's start."

Heinz sent a message through his mobile phone. He sat there quietly and said nothing.

He looked extremely calm, but his presence could be felt by everyone in the room.

The prosecutors began to ask about the incident that had happened the other day.

Finally, the male prosecutor asked, "Miss Smith, Lorenzo Chen is seriously injured now. Although he

has no other major health issues, his ability as a man has been affected. According to the law, he is

now a disabled person. Miss Smith, how did this happen?"

Grace felt stiff, and subconsciously looked at Heinz, Heinz shook his head slightly.

After thinking about it, she said, "I don't know. I was scared that day. I don't know how he got injured."

Heinz nodded slightly.

Those were the words their lawyer had told Grace to say.

It would be the best for society if people like Lorenzo lost their ability as males.

"Miss Smith, how can you not know?" It was obvious that the prosecutor was not satisfied with Grace's

answer.

Nevertheless, Grace was very calm. She replied, saying, "I was the victim that day. I was almost raped

by him. I was very scared and was in a panic. How would I know what happened to him?"

Seeing that Grace would not give them an answer, he immediately turned to look at Heinz.

"Mr. Jones, you were also there. You should be able to remember what happened that day."

Heinz nodded, and began speaking, "Yes, I do remember. Grace was hurt by Lorenzo that day. If I had

been any later, it would be a tragedy."

"How did Lorenzo get so badly injured?" pressed the prosecutor.

"You have to ask Lorenzo," said Heinz, his gaze was piercing. "In such a critical moment, I only paid

attention to Grace and was focused on looking after her."

"Lorenzo said you hurt him."

"I may have kicked him in a hurry. Perhaps I accidentally hit a vital part of his body. I didn't notice where

I kicked."

The rest of the people looked at each other for a brief moment.

"Mr. Jones, we want to know if you were deliberately exacting revenge on Lorenzo."

"Revenge?" Heinz looked at them faintly. His gaze was dark and the smile on his face was scary. "Am I

supposed to be civil and polite to a man who wanted to rape my woman?"

"I'd like to ask the two gentlemen sitting here, if your wife or girlfriend was nearly r*ped. Would you be

angry?"

Both men were stunned and a little embarrassed.

Heinz looked at the woman again and said, "What would you think if you nearly got r*ped by a man but

your other half stood there and did nothing?"

The female prosecutor remained silent.

"I was extremely mad at that time, maybe I kicked too hard. If you still want to know anything, my team

of lawyers is on their way. They will come later. You can talk about the details then," said Heinz plainly,

and all of them were shocked.

"Can I say a few words?" Hermione asked.

"Alright, Miss Lowe, please go ahead."

"I was married to Lorenzo for almost twenty years. He had an affair during the marriage and Grace

found out. He repeatedly hinted at Grace to be with him but she refused. He was so resentful that he

decided to do this to Grace," Hermione said frankly. "He is a person with a problematic personality.."

"Miss Lowe, as far as we know, you have divorced him now."

"Yes," Hermione frowned. "He is a man who has an affair during his marriage. Do you think I shouldn't

have divorced him?"

"No, no, that's not what I meant," the female prosecutor explained. "Even for someone like Lorenzo, he

has the right to be treated fairly."

"Everyone is treating him fairly. No one is not. If he is not being treated fairly, he would probably be

dead by now." Hermione said in a low voice.

She was clearly displeased.

The atmosphere was suffocating.

Heinz added to her words, saying, "There is nothing wrong if you want to protect his interests. You can

take legal means and speak with evidence. We will cooperate in both criminal and civil affairs."

"Mr. Jones, you don't have to be so resistant. We are just following the standard operating procedures.

This is also a routine interrogation. The case is going to court soon."

Heinz didn't say a word.

Hermione opened her mouth to speak, "It would deal great harm to Grace if someone like Lorenzo

does not receive any legal punishment. I only hope that you can deal with it impartially."

"Of course, that's for sure."

"Miss Smith, about the details of that day, we need to talk to you alone for a while."

Grace was taken aback, "I've already said it, I've said it before."

"There're still some details that we would like to know."

"You can ask later when the lawyers arrive," Heinz's tone was very serious.

They looked at each other again, it would be a little difficult for them to get a different testimony from

Grace with Heinz's presence.

"Dudu -"

There was a knock on the door.

"Come in."

Chuck opened the door, followed by two people, who were dressed in suits and leather shoes. As soon

as they saw Heinz, they respectfully said, "President Jones."

They were Heinz's lawyers.

"You got here just at the right time. The prosecutors have more questions for Grace. You two will

accompany her."

"Alright!"

Hermione said, "Let's go to our meeting room. Chuck, please take them there."

Grace pursed her lips and looked at Heinz.

Heinz also said in a calm tone, "Grace, just answer honestly. You do not have to worry too much with

the lawyers here."

"Okay," said Grace. She gave him a smile before heading to the meeting room.
