Chapter 1426

Celeste was really surprised. What Gary said made sense. Their problem was a lack of absolutetrust.

She was not confident.

He was too confident.

It turned out Gary knew all too well.

At this moment, Celeste felt warm in her heart. She also truly realized this man cherished her.Otherwise, he wouldn't have thought about changing.

Someone as proud as him wouldn't change for someone easily.

She didn't say anything but rested her face on Gary's chest. This made him smile.

Celeste no longer actively got close to him. It was rare for her to make such a move.

Gary found it hard to control his emotions for a moment. He couldn't help but grin.

"Up to you." she said, "As long as Flynt and Miss Simpson don't have any objections, I have nothingto say,"

"They didn't seem to have any objections at all," Gary said, "C'mon, let's go tour around. We'll takea taxi back."

It was only then that Gary and Celeste had a genuine couple's trip.

They saw a lot of scenery and took a lot of photos.

Celeste's lips couldn't help but twitch when she recalled Gary said he has Parkinson's disease.

Celeste's phone beeped suddenly, and a message came in. It was from Janice.

"Miss White, I'm sorry. I didn't know you're Gary's girlfriend. I always thought you're his sister."

"I'm really sorry. It seems like there's a misunderstanding between us. I can assure you that Garyand I are just classmates and also friends with him and Lowell. That's all."

"Gary only said you're his girlfriend today. I was afraid that you'd misunderstand, so I wanted tosend you a message to clear things up."

When Celeste saw this message, she was slightly stunned. She subconsciously looked at Gary.

"Did he tell Janice I'm his girlfriend?" Celeste thought.

She was flabbergasted.

At this time, Gary's eyes met with Celeste's. He was slightly taken aback. Then, he looked athimself. "What's wrong? Why are you looking at me? Who's sent you a message?"

Celeste came to her senses and shook her head, saying, "Nothing. Janice sent me a messagesaying you told her I'm your girlfriend."

Gary nodded. Then, he brought Celeste to a long bench and sat down.

Seeing that he didn't say anything, Celeste showed him the texts.

After Gary glanced over the message, he returned the phone to her. Then he grabbed Celeste andlet her sit on his lap.

Startled, Celeste lowered her head to look at him.

He was also looking at her. The next second, he went forward and kissed her.

Celeste was stunned for a moment.

When his tongue intruded, she was still in a daze. What was he doing?

Unsure whether it was because of the message, Celeste didn't refuse, nor did she push him away. She seemed to be more at ease now.

In a daze, the photos from Janice's phone flashed through her mind. She thought that maybe Janicehad feelings for Gary.

A girl would only keep a guy's photo in her phone because she liked him.

However, he did not seem to understand.

Celeste winced.

Her lips hurt.

Gary's deep voice traveled to her ears, "Don't imagine things. Focus."

Celeste was stunned. Just as he was about to kiss her again, she stopped him and said, "mystomach hurts. Don't."

He looked at her resentfully but still let her go in the end.

Celeste thought for a while and asked in a whisper, "Don't you have anything to tell me?"

"No," Gary answered straightforwardly.

No?

Celeste was so done with him. He must have said something to Janice. Otherwise, why would shesend such a message?

However, he said no.

Celeste opened her mouth, feeling a little helpless.

"Alright, let go of me a little. Let me reply to Miss Simpson. Otherwise, I'll look petty." She said.

"Look? You are petty." Gary mocked.

Celeste wasn't angry at his comment but only said, "I admit I am petty. Especially when it comes toour relationship."

Gary sneered. He was surprised Celeste would be so self-deprecating.

"I'm just joking with you." He said softly, full of affection.

"But I'm not. I mean it when I say I'm petty," Celeste really didn't care that others called her petty. Infact, she truly felt that she was absolutely petty when it came to her love life.

"Me too." he laughed.

"I can see that," Celeste said as she felt she was no match for Gary when it came to being petty.

It was just that he probably never realized in the past, but he did now. So he minded when Flynt andMiss Simpson joined them. Thus, it could be seen how petty he was.

They looked at each other and smiled.

After that, Celeste still sent a reply to Janice.

"Don't worry about it, Miss Simpson. Gary and I didn't reach an agreement before, and we almostbroke up because of it. Fortunately, he's still here. Thank you for sending me this message andbeing honest."

Not long after she sent the reply, Janice sent another message. "That's good. I just want to explainthat I'm friends with Gary, and we'll be nothing more than good friends in the future. I hope youwon't misunderstand."

Receiving another message like that, Celeste was astonished to find that Janice kept telling her notto misunderstand.

Celeste frowned slightly and thought for a moment before replying to her. This time, for the firsttime, she made her stance clear.

"Miss Simpson, I don't mind that you're friends with Gary. It's just that I hope you would not crossthe boundary. If you act overly familiar, people will definitely misunderstand."novelbin

"But now, you keep worrying that I might misunderstand, so let me tell you my thoughts. I can seethat you like Gary; that's why you're so tolerant of his nasty behavior toward you. Also, I think thefact that you have photos of Gary on your phone says it all."

"I'm a petty person. Since you know about my relationship with Gary now, I hope you will abide bywhat you've just said. That will be best for everyone."

Celeste sent the message very quickly.

She knew her words were quite harsh.

But she didn't regret it.

After sending the message, she forwarded the same message to Gary as well.

After reading the message, Gary was stunned. He looked at Celeste and said, "You sent this toJanice?"

"Do you have any objections?" Celeste looked at him and asked.

Gary burst into laughter, "Very good. Rare that you would declare to outsiders. This is good."

Celeste was a little surprised. She asked in astonishment, "Aren't you angry?"

"Why should I?" Gary shook his head. "I'm very happy. That means you care about us."
