Chapter 1022

Grace sniffed a little and said with a faint smile, "Is it? | don't think that's what | meant?"

“Mommy, you're not even sure of it and you still want to deny it?" Gary looked at his mother helplessly and complained again,"Why didn't you say anything in front of Uncle Zachary? Look how tired | am. You didn't even stand up for me."

"Little Gary, let it go." Grace continued, "Maria is right. How are you so petty as a man? It was just one night. Was it really thathard?"

He opened his eyes wide and looked at his mom as if he was looking at a stranger.

After a long while, he opened his mouth and said, "Why do | feel like everybody in this family likes to target me? Does nobodycare about my feelings? Are you sure that I'm your biological son?"

"Gary it would probably be better if you just acknowledge father," Ernest suggested.

He snorted and turned his face away. "Forget it. | would rather be tortured to death by Maria than do anything that goes againstmy will.”

Heinz was speechless.novelbin

It seemed that as a father, he was even more unqualified than he thought.

He let out a helpless sigh and fell into silence.

Grace glanced at Little Gary. It seemed that this little boy had a grudge in his heart no matter what.

She couldn't force anything on him so she just said to the two of them, "When we get home, take a nap and rest well. | know thatit was hard for you all last night."

“Mommy, taking a nap is not the same." Ernest was worried and said, "Maria is not normal."

"Yeah. She is just on a different level. Right now, she is super excited being with her dad so | guess that you both will not be thecenter of her attention for these few nights. Thus, it's okay, don't worry."

“Now, Uncle Zachary and Maria are in their happy bubble and have just reunited with each other. Try to be understanding andaccepting to them. | know it won't be easy but | hope that you all will be able to take this positively."

Gary leaned back and looked at his parents with big, wide eyes.

“Mommy, do you mean that even if we don't want to accept things, we would still have to try and do so?""Yes." Grace nodded and said, "That's what | mean."

"Okay," he agreed and did not say anything anymore.

Ernest was surprised to see that Little Gary agreed and fell into silence without objecting to their mom. He then asked aquestion.

"Gary, are you just accepting it?"

Little Gary smiled, but there was a trace of deviance in his smile. He seemed to signal to Ernest with his smile that he wouldnever accept it.

He just wanted his mother to not worry, which was why he agreed and remained silent.

Little Gary had his own thoughts towards Uncle Zachary. Just because his uncle was older, he won't be scared or cower. He did not even give any face to Heinz, what more to his uncle.

However, he knew that it was best if he kept this to himself.

He glanced at Ernest. There was no need to say much. Ernest understood as well.

It was just as he thought. How was it possible that his brother just accepted it? That wasn't like him.

Grace was still a little worried. She glanced at her kids and thought to herself that they were getting smarter day by day, and itwas harder to figure

them out now. After silence dawned on the car for a few minutes, Heinz's gaze swept over both his children. His brows were slightly arched.

After a while, he said to the kids in a sincere and meaningful tone, "If the baby in your mommy's belly is a daughter, she wouldneed to be protected and looked after. Though she may not be a real-life princess, she's still your sister, and as brothers you allhave to look after her."

“And boys who are well taught and able to look after girls will be men who are respected in the future."

"Be polite and be gentlemen. In that way, you'll be welcomed anywhere. If you respect people, you'll be respected too."“Ugh! Open the window!" Gary shouted.

The driver, who was at the front, was shocked and quickly wound down the window.

Grace and Heinz were taken aback as well. They then began to ask with concern, "What's wrong, Little Gary?"

Little Gary leaned against the edge of the window and coughed. Then he said, "| don't know what's going on, but | suddenly feltsick and wanted to throw up."

He scooted back in and sat down. He kept his gaze down and was expressionless.Heinz and Grace looked at each other.

She puckered her lips, and an embarrassed smile flashed across her eyes.

This child was just infuriating.

Heinz caught the hidden meaning behind Little Gary's words.

He was close to blowing up.

As the boy's father, he was just imparting a few words to him. Was it that hard for Little Gary to accept? He said that he almostthrew up.

He even reached out his head to pretend that he was going to puke. That was just too maddening."Why don't you just throw up for real?" Heinz said angrily. "Should | give you a hand and make you vomit?"

"No need." Little Gary pulled his lips up and said lightly, "You can have a rest. You'll be tired if you talk too much." Heinz wasabout to throw a fit of anger when he heard what the boy said.

He vowed that one day, he would correct his son's excessive pride and arrogance. He told himself that now was not the time andthat he had to wait patiently.

Grace could not stand it any longer and turned her head. An amusing smile broke on her face. She wanted to laugh very badly. It was just plainly amusing to see how Heinz was being bullied by his own son.

He wanted to give some words of advice, but instead, was infuriated by his own child.

Oh, how pitiful it was. Heinz was probably the only man who was bullied by his own son as a father.

Little Gary leaned back and hummed without sparing a glance at Heinz's flushed face.

He began to sing a song.

Heinz was instantly speechless.

Grace finally couldn't help and laughed out loud.

Emest also smiled as well.

Heinz felt helpless, and the driver in front of him also laughed.

Heinz was the only one who was filled with frustration. He looked at his wife and children, feeling a little depressed in his heart. Was life trying to teach him a lesson because he had been living a comfortable life all along?

He was utterly bullied by his own son, so much so that he felt extremely embarrassed. His son must have been his nemesis.

Zachary was now a complete fan of his daughter. He said, "Yes, you're very cute."

"Then, do you like me?"

"| do," he nodded.

"What about Mommy?" Maria's eyes studied her father and she asked, "Do you like Mommy?"Zachary was startled.
