Chapter 2349

Soon, pandemonium reigned at the scene. The demon beasts engaged in a chaotic brawl with Wreyand his party. Those demon beasts were incredibly ferocious and didn’t seem to fear death.

Matthew watched the scene unfolding before him, then shifted his gaze onto Jared and gulped. “Mr.Chance, these demon beasts are. really your subordinates?”

“Of course. Otherwise, why would they listen to me?” Jared stood at an elevated spot and took . in thedisastrous scene before him. He then waved his hand at Wrey. “You all keep fighting. I’m taking myleave now.”

“You can’t escape, you b*stard!” Wrey was enraged. He thrust his palm at a demon beast, sending itflying away, then leaped toward Jared. He couldn’t allow Jared to get away. Otherwise, it would bedifficult to track him down again.

Unfortunately, just as Wrey jumped, a massive figure suddenly appeared. The giant lion opened itsbloody maw and pounced at Wrey. Wrey could only defend himself against the giant lion and wasunable to stop Jared.

Jared, Matthew, and the others rapidly took flight. After Jared left, the giant lion let out a roar, signalingfor all the demon beasts to retreat.

A myriad of corpses was strewn across the battlefield. Some belonged to members of the nine sects, while others were the demon beasts’ carcasses.

Although they managed to slay many demon beasts in that fight, every sect suffered quite a significantloss too. “D*mn it! Jared escaped. Just who the hell is – that guy? Why can he control so many demonbeasts?” Wrey bellowed.

“Wrey, although Jared got away, we managed to kill so many demon beasts and acquire a lot of beastcores. We didn’t lose out,” Hugh consoled Wrey. Wrey nodded and waved his hand. “Go and take outthe beast cores from those dead demon beasts.”novelbin

Everyone swiftly got moving to extract the beast cores from the demon beasts’ carcasses. However, they soon discovered that the extracted beast cores were a dull gray color and devoid of any luster.Wrey held a beast core and gazed at it in puzzlement. “W-What’s going on?”

Hugh retrieved the beast core and examined it with tightly knitted brows. “Someone absorbed thesebeast cores not long ago, so the cores are showing this color. They’re practically worthless now.”

“Who did that? Who could’ve possibly absorbed so many demon beasts’ beast cores?” Wrey was takenaback. The dozens of demon beasts all had their beast cores absorbed by someone.

“I think Jared is the most likely culprit. No one else could’ve achieved this. Haven’t you noticed thatJared’s strength has clearly received a significant boost? That brat must possess some kind of magicalitem or secret,” Hugh analyzed.

“D*mn it! I’ll capture him sooner or later and flay him alive to see what secret he’s hiding,” Wrey saidthrough gritted teeth. “We should order a halt to demon beasts hunting for now. These beast cores areworthless. We need to wait for some time to let the demon beast recover before slaying them. Onlythen will the beast cores be valuable,” Hugh said.

“All right. Even without the beast cores, there are still other resources available here that can sustainour survival and cultivation. Still, as long as Jared hasn’t left this secret realm, I will locate him.” Wreyballed his fists with rage churning in his eyes.

“Let’s clean up the scene. We need to find a suitable place to set up a camp as soon as possible!” AfterHugh finished his sentence, everyone began to clear the battlefield and bury the corpses.

Meanwhile, Jared, leading Matthew, Archer, and Skyler, was moving swiftly through the jungle. AsMatthew was not fully recovered, they couldn’t travel at top speed.

However, since there were no pursuers behind them, they weren’t in a hurry. “Those people aren’tgiving chase. I think we should find a place to rest first so Mr. Campbell can fully recover,” Jaredsuggested.
