Chapter 2350
Archer and Skyler nodded in unison. Given the way things were, they had no choice but to listen toJared. Jared and the others found a cave that was just large enough to fit them, so they spent the nightinside the cave. Jared told Matthew to focus on his cultivation so he could heal faster, but Matthew wasunable to get into a cultivation state.
“It’s all my fault… The disciples were wounded – and killed because of me… As a sect leader, I can’tpossibly bring myself to face our ancestors anymore!” Matthew cried out with a sad look on his face.
All of the Luminous Sect disciples were killed, and many of them had chosen to self-destruct in order tosave Matthew. Naturally, Matthew did not feel good about that at all.
Archer had reminded him before that the other. sects might attack Luminous Sect, but Matthew hadbeen overly optimistic and believed that the other sects were too honorable to do such a thing.
Unfortunately, he was wrong about them. They were so greedy for profits that they would do anything,which made them no better than Demonic Cultivators.
Although Matthew had finally come to terms with the harsh reality, it was far too late. All the disciples ofLuminous Sect, with the exception of Archer and Skyler, were already dead.
Archer and Skyler were deeply saddened when they saw the state Matthew was in. Those discipleswere a tight-knit group, so losing them all so suddenly was extremely devastating.
“This isn’t your fault, Mr. Campbell. Those b*stards were simply far too cunning! But don’t worry! Aslong as they remain in this secret -realm, I will be sure to make them pay!” Jared reassured him.
“I’m sorry we got you all caught up in this mess, Mr. Chance,” Matthew said with an awkwardexpression. “I would probably have been killed long ago if it weren’t for you, Mr. Campbell. For now, all
you have to do is focus on healing yourself as quickly as possible. Stop worrying about anything else,”Jared said and stepped out of the cave.
He knew that Matthew, Skyler, and Archer needed some time alone to accept what had happened tothem. “How much longer do you plan on resting, young man? Don’t forget that you have to find. thelocation marked on the treasure map!” Ranzoph’s voice sounded all of a sudden.
“I know…” Jared replied in annoyance before. lighting a cigarette and staring at the starry sky above.After taking a huge puff of it, he exhaled the smoke heavily in an attempt to calm himself down. All therunning and fighting had left him physically and mentally exhausted. He was starting to miss Josephineand the others in Jadeborough, but he had to keep going..
Otherwise, he wouldn’t even be able to rescue Josephine and the others, let alone see his mother aswell as learn about his father’s identity. Meanwhile, in the Evil Heart Sect’s secret realm inJadeborough, Tanner was seated on a chair while Malphas was kneeling before him.
“Is everyone here?” Tanner asked. “Yes, Lord Tanner. Everyone is here except for Jared, who istrapped in Divine Quest Sect’s secret realm,” Malphas replied.
“Very well. The spiritual energy has been. restored, so the Heavenly Law will be activated soon!”Tanner was so happy that he started cackling maniacally.
“Lord Tanner, when will Skylar be released? We still need his Soul Bracelet for the statues,” Malphasasked cautiously. “We’ll wait till the final moment and release Skylar once we have lured Jared to comehere. I’ve provided him with resources for a very long time, so it’s about time he returns the favor,”Tanner replied calmly. Malphas nodded. “Understood!”
Tanner then waved at Malphas, and the latter slowly faded away. After Malphas was gone, the eightchairs in front of him emitted a purple glow, and eight figures in purple robes appeared shortly after.novelbin
All of them had their faces obscured by their hoods, so none of them could clearly see each other’sfaces. “The activation of Heavenly Law draws near now that the spiritual energy has been restored. It’stime for you to get ready,” Tanner said.
“Understood!” The eight purple-robed figures nodded in unison before disappearing as well.
