Chapter 908 Be Her Boyfriend
“Uh… I… Ahem!” Alex was left utterly bewildered by her words. Never in his wildest dreams did he hissecretary to ask him to be her boyfriend.

Upon hearing that, Jessica felt as if a huge part of her heart was being ripped apart. The emptinessinside her was agonizing, tormenting her deeply.
She had mustered all her courage to confess her feelings to him, despite knowing she was only antordinary person among the many others who liked the outstanding man.
Even though she knew her chances were low, hearing those words come out of Alex’s mouth still brokeher heart.
Ever since Jessica developed feelings for Alex, she found it impossible to be attracted to any otherman. It was as if Alex had set a standard that made every other man seem unworthy of her attention.
Inhaling sharply, Jessica held back her tears and said to him, “I know I’m the most ordinary-looking andpoorest woman among all your pursuers. However, I’ve fallen hopelessly in love with you. I’m evenwilling to be your secret lover, Mr. Jefferson. Can’t you let me remain by your side? Hm?”
Jessica began to weep pitifully. It was impossible for any man to resist when such a beautiful womanspoke those heartfelt words.
Moreover, it was a temptatious offer. The beautiful lady was willing to stay by his side and become hissecret lover. There was no need to bestow her an official title, yet he could have fun with her at hiswhim.
This was something every man had dreamed of, and even Alex was shocked to hear such aproposition. He did not expect such words to come out of Jessica’s mouth.
What was more, Jessica was sobbing uncontrollably, glistening droplets streaming down her face. Alexcould not stand women crying the most. He would be overwhelmed and at a loss over what to do insuch situations.
He frantically grabbed some tissues, wanting to wipe the tears off of her face and coax her to stopcrying.
If someone were to suddenly enter the office and see her crying so pitifully, they would think he wasbullying her.
As the man approached her and raised his hand to wipe her tears, Jessica seized the opportunity towrap her arms around him.
Alex, caught off guard by Jessica’s unexpected embrace, hesitated for a moment before responding.“I’m sorry for disappointing you. I’ll let you hug me for a while if it makes you feel better.”
Jessica nodded firmly, her arms still wrapped around Alex as she greedily took in his unique scent.Strangely though, her feelings of disappointment only increased.
