“Hello? Mr. Jefferson, how may I help you?” Jack answered the call, asking in a courteous manner.
When the people in the hall noticed that Alex was in the middle of a phone call, they turned theirattention toward him as they wondered what he was going to do next.
It was the same for Nicholas. He remained silent and wondered if Alex had lost his mind due toextreme frustration.
He’s just a live-in son-in-law! I doubt he’s capable of forcing me into submission with a call, right?
“Has Four Seas Corporation established any form of collaboration with Leighton Pharmaceutical?” Alexasked in a callous tone.
Confused about what was going on, Jack only knew it wouldn’t be wise to question the chairman anddared not ask too many questions.
After he gathered the relevant information, he answered, “Mr. Jefferson, Leighton Pharmaceutical is buta small and mediocre enterprise unworthy of our time. However, I do have a friend of mine who is theboard member of the company.”
“If that’s the case, I’ll leave this matter to you. I want Leighton Pharmaceutical to go out of businesswithin ten minutes,” Alex said flatly.
Because he did not turn on the speaker, Alex was the only one aware of the identity of the person onthe other end of the call.
Nonetheless, his words had managed to take everyone by surprise as they gawped at him.
As capable as he might be as a doctor, there’s no way he can put up much of a fight against theLeighton family!

Scoffing. Alex said. “We shall see if I’m lying or not in ten minutes! But don’t worry, though, for my goalis not to force Leighton Pharmaceutical out of business. My ultimate goal is to teach both you and yourfather a lesson you shan’t forget!”
Nicholas thought it was a waste of time to take Alex seriously as no one could possibly pose a threat tohim when they were at the Leighton residence.
He instructed coldly, “Men, take him into custody for spreading malicious rumors against the Leightonfamily.”
“Why? Can’t you even spare ten minutes? Since you’re so keen to have some fun, I’ll ask someoneelse to join you!”
