Chapter 781

Chapter 781 Insults

Thunderstruck, Yates felt like he was thrown into the pit of despair.

I have given up everything! I’ve even given up my family heirloom just so I could have a chance atbecoming the chairman of Leighton Pharmaceutical. But now, it seems that I’ve been going on a fool’serrand…

Alex couldn’t stand Nicholas making a fool out of him, he narrowed his eyes and warned, “I’ll give youanother chance to change your mind and appoint Yates as the chairman of the company. Otherwise, there will be consequences for going back on your words.”

Yates was glad that Alex was there since no one else tried to defend him from his shameless father.

On the other hand, Nicholas’ expression darkened when he heard Alex ordering him around.

I don’t have to listen to him anymore since David is no longer a threat! In fact, I don’t think I’ll mindoffending Tyrael as well!

Finally showing his true nature, Nicholas spat, “Indeed, I have never thought of appointing Yates as thechairman of Leighton Pharmaceutical. I mean, he’s merely the son of a country bumpkin. His mother’sthe worst out of all the ones I’ve ever bedded. There’s no way I’m allowing someone as inferior as himto inherit the empire I’ve built up!”.

He then turned around and sneered at Yates. Every time I look at him, I would be reminded of hiscountry- bumpkin of a mother.novelbin

Back in the day, he couldn’t stand spending a day without having some raunchy fun. However, becausehe was forced to spend most of his time at Coldbridge collecting herbs, he couldn’t find anyone tosatisfy his carnal desire..

If it wasn’t because Yates’ mother was somewhat of a looker, Nicholas would never consider spendinga night with a country bumpkin.

Yates should consider himself lucky to even be acknowledged as a member of the Leighton family! Andyet, here he is, pushing his luck on trying to become the chairman of Leighton Pharmaceutical! What ajoke!

The veins on Yates’ forehead bulged as he couldn’t stand Nicholas insulting his mother anymore.

After all, Nicholas was the one who hit on his mother in the first place. Not to mention his grandfatherwas so pissed off when he found out about this that he passed away.

Thinking about this, Yates rushed over in an attempt to confront Nicholas. However, the othermembers. of the Leighton family got in his way and shoved him aside.

Sprawling helplessly on the floor, Yates glared at Nicholas with his eyes brimming in tears. Gritting histeeth. Yates choked out, “How could you humiliate my mother in front of everyone?”

Gleeful with the turn of events, Callum yelled, “What do you mean Dad’s humiliating your mother? He’sjust telling the truth! You’re just the son of a country bumpkin! We can’t even be sure if you’re related tothe family! There’s no way we’re appointing someone with such an ambiguous identity as the chairmanof Leighton Pharmaceutical!”

Eyes reddening, tears started to stream down Yates’ cheeks as the others continued to insult hismother.

He brought himself up with his fists clenched as he recalled the sort of humiliations his half-brother hadbrought upon him over the past two decades.

Never had Yates thought of retaliating against Callum, but he couldn’t stand his half-brother making funof his late mother anymore.

He sprinted over in an attempt to vent his frustration, but it was another futile attempt when anothermember of the Leighton family landed a kick on him, sending him sprawling to the ground once more.

Just then, someone brought Callum to Yates’ side. The former proceeded to spit on the face of his half-brother without any hesitation.

“Who the hell do you think you are to challenge us? You don’t think others are going to help anillegitimate son like you, do you?”

Standing at the side, Alex could no longer watch the father and son duo of the Leighton family making.fun of Yates. As such, he reached for his phone and made a call.
