Chapter 783 Severing Ties
Nicholas wasn’t startled at all. He thought it was impossible for Alex to be affiliated with someonecapable of going against the whole Leighton family.
Seconds after the Leighton family’s men surrounded Alex, Tyrael yelled at Nicholas, “What the hell doyou think you’re doing? Is this your way of showing your gratitude to Dr. Jefferson for solving the criseson behalf of your family?”
Pursing his lips, Callum spat, “Shut your d’mn mouth, old man! If it weren’t because of my injuries. Iwould’ve given you one hell of a beating by now! How dare you refuse me when I’ve gotten down onmy knees, asking you to come with me? Had you followed me here instead of Yates, we wouldn’t haveto go through any of these!”
Tyrael was on the verge of losing his cool, but Alex tapped on his shoulder, urging the older man toremain calm. He wanted to see just how despicable the Leighton family could get.
“Dr. Jefferson, this is too much! They’re trying to take us into custody on top of refusing to honor theirpromises! There’s no way I’m treating any members of the Leighton family in the future!” an enragedTyrael announced at the top of his lungs.
Alex couldn’t care less because he was certain it wouldn’t take long until it was over for the Leightonfamily.
Now that Tyrael had fallen out with the Leighton family. Nicholas and Callum thought it wasn’tnecessary to show any mercy to Tyrael anymore.
Hence, Callum signaled one of the men to take Tyrael out. The man marched in Tyrael’s direction whilerolling up his sleeves, planning to teach Tyrael a very harsh lesson.
However, before he could even lay a finger on Tyrael, someone grabbed his arm.
It was Alex. Infuriated, the man tried to throw a punch at Alex.
What the hell? He’s just a stupid doctor! How dare he get in my way!

Alex couldn’t believe they had the audacity to even consider beating Tyrael up. After all, Tyrael wasconsidered as an elder and should be respected as such.
Just when Alex was about to say something, Yates got ahead of him and bellowed, “How could you!How dare you try laying a finger on Dr. Skyworth? I’m the one you’re targeting, so just come after mewith everything you’ve got and leave Dr. Skyworth alone!”
Moments after Yates finished his orated speech, someone launched a powerful kick in his stomach.
“You bastard child! Who are you to yell at us? It’s time for you to learn your lesson as well!” Callumannounced with a scowl. He had almost forgotten that his half-brother was still there with them.
He thought of venting his grievances out on Yates after being slapped in the face by Nicholasand,beaten to a pulp by David’s men.
It took Yates quite a while to pull himself together, for the kick he received was a powerful one. Shortlyafter he brought himself up, he had his arms wrapped around his stomach.
Gritting his teeth, he announced, “I’m officially severing ties with the Leighton family! There’s no way Imassociating myself with such a shameless bunch!”
Those around him looked at him in disbelief and thought Yates must have gone mad after sustainingsuch serious injuries.
“He’s quite a brazen young man, huh? How dare he severs ties with the Leighton family when he’s justan illegitimate son?”
“To be honest, it’s very foolish of him to sever ties with the family when he’s so close to acquiring afortune from his father!”
“Exactly! He would have secured a few hundred thousand had he sided with his father and brotherinstead of defending those outsiders.”
Callum beamed in satisfaction since no one was in the run for the family’s fortune anymore.
As for Nicholas, he cast his walking stick in Yates’ direction and bellowed. “I’m going to chase youaway even if you don’t sever ties with the family!”
The walking stick hit Yates on the forehead, and blood poured from his wound in an instant.
Alex narrowed his eyes at that. It would be a piece of cake for me to take all these b*stards out at once.
However, he had no intention of ruining the fun. Glancing at his phone, he smirked when he found out ithad been a few minutes since he delivered the message.
