Chapter 3163

After finishing the soup, Rhea put the bowl down and wiped her mouth. Then, she told Dean, “Go upstairs and rest. You still have schooltomorrow.”

Dean was mature. He understood Rhea did not want him to hear whatshe had to say.

He went upstairs after saying goodnight.

Rhea watched as Dean walked up the stairs. When he was out of sight, she whispered to her in-laws, “I know you two are concerned aboutDean and me, but there are only a few eligible bachelors in Wiltspoon, and they're younger than me.

“Aside from those men, there is one that seems suitable. He's olderthan me by a few years and is still unmarried. He's great, but he has ascar on his face. You might find him a little scary at first.

“He has a company and a net worth of tens of billions of dollars. He'sricher than our family and has good character. He won't think of takingour family’s assets.”

Rhea’s in-laws exchanged glances. Old Mrs. Torres asked, “Who is it?Do I know him?”

“You two are familiar with him. He's the Lewis family’s fourth son andthe CEO of Lewis & Co., Duncan.”

“Duncan Lewis!”

Old Mrs. Torres immediately voiced her objection. “He's beenwheelchair-bound ever since he got into an accident. Although he’s inphysiotherapy, who knows when he'll recover? The scar on his face istoo scary. He'll scare Dean off.”

“Duncan is a good man with an excellent background. However, justlike she said, he's crippled and wheelchair-bound. You should marry aman who can support you and take care of you and Dean, not youtaking care of him instead.”

“Duncan requires constant care and assistance now. Besides, everyone knows he likes Liberty. He even got into the accident becauseof her.”

“He’s good friends with Mr. Bucham and Mr. York. Birds of a featherflock together. Mr. Bucham and Mr. York are loyal to their relationships. They love their wives a lot. I believe Duncan will act the same. He's inlove with Liberty and will not choose another woman.”

“Duncan and Liberty have already made their relationship official. If youhave your eyes set on him, it means you'll have to go against Liberty.Won't that make you a third party? Rhea, isn't there anyone else asidefrom Duncan?”

Old Mr. and Mrs. Torres objected to Rhea and Duncan getting together, regardless of whether Duncan was willing to be with Rhea.

The moment she started pursuing him, she would be labeled ahomewrecker.

Old Mr. and Mrs. Torres did not want their daughter to be ahomewrecker. It would negatively affect the company’s reputation andthey would be shamed. Even Dean would get scolded.

“I haven't met anyone suitable besides Duncan. No matter how well theother guys were, it was obvious that they were only interested in ourfamily’s money. How can I choose them?”novelbin

Rhea sighed and added, “I'm a widow with a son. Looking for a man isdifficult enough. Most of them won't want to marry a widow with extrabaggage.”

She would always be viewed as a widow regardless of her capability. While gender equality existed, a slight discrimination toward womenremained.

Whenever Rhea refused the advances of men targeting her money, they would try to ruin her reputation by spreading rumors, claiming sheswitched her many lovers frequently.

Other rumors claimed that her existence was the cause of herhusband's early death, saying any man who married her would sufferthe same death.
