Chapter 3157

“I believe Duncan won't fancy Mrs. Torres. He only has eyes for you.”Liberty smiled. “That's why you don't have to be worried about me. Ifthere's a love rival, then it'll be a trial for Duncan and me.

“You don't have to keep an eye on Mrs. Torres for me, Seren. Letnature take its course. If she can secure Duncan's heart, then I havenothing to say. If she fails, she might look for me instead.”

Liberty had experience in facing love rivals.

Before Liberty and Hank divorced, he cheated on her with Jessica.Even so, Liberty did not lose.

She was the one who suggested they get a divorce.

She could not accept any dishonesty.

Hank did not treat Liberty well. He was generous with Jessica but nother. As such, Liberty granted their wish.

Divorcing was not that bad after all. Liberty was living a better life nowthan before.

She received help from Serenity, but she believed she could havepulled through those tough times after divorcing even without Serenity’shelp.

After experiencing a failed marriage, Liberty came to a realization.Women should have a source of income before or after marriage. Oneshould not depend solely on a man.

A woman also should not prioritize her family to the extent of losingherself or disconnecting from society. If that happened, she would be ata disadvantage after divorcing. She would not be able to fight for herchild's custody rights.

Love was no longer the most important aspect of Liberty's life. It wasreplaced by her career and family.

“Mm, I won't do anything. I'll just keep myself updated about Mrs.Torres. I should know her subsequent actions so she doesn't go to yousuddenly and catch you off guard.

“I guess outstanding men always have many admirers,” said Serenity.“But the same applies to capable women too. You also had otherpursuers, but Duncan had simply shut them down before they could tryanything.”

Liberty was speechless.

While there were other men wooing her, she rejected them evenwithout Duncan's interference.

Back then, she was still set about not remarrying yet.

After being conflicted about Duncan liking her for a long time, shefinally decided to give their relationship a chance as his love anddetermination touched her.

She believed he would not disappoint her.

“I'll get Sonny on the phone.”

Serenity moved the phone away from her ear and said, “Sonny, yourmom's on the phone. Do you want to talk to her?”

“Yes,” Sonny replied and ran over.

Serenity passed him the phone and lifted him to put him on her lap.The mother and son talked for half an hour before hanging up.

“Have you finished drawing?”

"Yes, but I haven't colored it.”

Serenity put her phone into her pocket. She stood and said, “Bring itover and let me have a look.”

Sonny brought his drawing and handed it to her. It was a cat. Sonnyliked animals. The pets Zachary gave Serenity had grown plump underMrs. Lane's care, and Sonny adored them.

The cat Sonny drew was not bad at all. Perhaps it was because hecould see a big cat every day.novelbin

He was still young. His art skills would definitely improve with his ageas he continued learning.

Sonny loved going to hobby classes.

“This is Aunt Ser’s fat cat.”

Serenity’s pet cat had a name, but everyone started calling it “Chunky”instead.

Serenity had told Mrs. Lane not to overfeed Chunky and it had to losesome weight. Animals were just like humans as being overweightposed some health risks.

“You can draw my dog next.”
