Chapter 3158

Sonny nodded. “Your dog isn't as big as before, but Chunky is still fat.”Although Mrs. Lane had the pets’ meals under control, Chunky wouldstill sneak some food.

“Let's go for a walk and have a look at the dog.”

Serenity put the drawing down and brought Sonny out for a walk.Zachary's private villa was so huge that even a stroll in the gardencould take a long time.

Since Sonny visited often and Serenity was pregnant, Zachary hadmodified a part of the garden into a playground. It was smaller than theone in Wildridge Manor, but sufficient for one or two kids to play.

The dog, Snowy, came running at Serenity and Sonny the moment theyexited the house.

Sonny released Serenity's hand and ran toward Snowy. The child andthe dog soon started playing together.

Sonny even rode Snowy like a horse. Snowy allowed him to sit on it butstood still, afraid Sonny might fall. Therefore, it remained static whileSonny was on it.

Serenity watched them with a smile.novelbin

She could not help but place her hand on her womb.

If the baby grew healthily, they would be able to meet him next year.“Lil Bun, you must be smart and talkative like Sonny. Don't inherit yourfather’s cold personality. He only speaks more when he's with me. Withother people around, he becomes a man of few words.”

Serenity hoped the baby would have her personality and Zachary'slooks.

Boys with Zachary's features would look manly.

Besides, he was handsome. Nothing could go wrong if the baby lookedlike him.

At nine in the evening, Rhea Torres dragged her tired body back home. She and her family lived in a villa.

The house had a cold atmosphere ever since her husband passedaway. There was no one she could speak to at home after a busy dayout.

In the past, Rhea would wait for her husband's return, no matter howlate he was.

She knew he was busy with early mornings and late nights. If it werenot for her waiting up, there would have been times she might not evensee him for an entire month.

Usually, he would return when she was asleep and head to work beforeshe even woke up.

Ever since Rhea took over his business, she finally understood thechallenges of running a company and her husband's heavy workload. As her son was still young, she would be home around nine, regardlessof how busy she was.

Her son had already lost his father. As his mother, she could notneglect him and must shower him with more love and concern.

A small figure came running out of the house as the car moved forward. It was Rhea’s son.

“Mom.”

The nine-year-old Dean was slightly thin.

Despite the sufficient food provided, he ate little as he was picky. Therefore, he was on the thinner side.

Rhea had always been worried about that. She was afraid Dean wouldbe malnourished and his growth stunted because of his pickiness.

Her in-laws reassured her. They said her husband was the same whenhe was young. Mr. Torres’s growth spurt only started when he was inmiddle school. When that happened, his appetite grew, and he was notthat picky anymore. His height and weight increased drastically.

Mr. Torres was five feet eleven.

With Rhea'’s in-laws reassuring her, she became less anxious.

She had also brought her son for medical checkups. While he wasslightly underweight, his other indicators were normal. That alleviatedher concern. Perhaps Dean did take after his late father. They were thinand picky when they were young and would start growing at an insanerate once they hit puberty.
