Sonny said playfully, “I miss Jazz more.”
He was close to Jasmine because of Serenity. Whenever Serenity brought him to the bookstore,Jasmine would take him out for good food and a shopping spree.
Therefore, he liked Jasmine more as compared to Josh.
“What a naughty kid.”
Josh pinched Sonny’s cheek and put him down. He smiled and said, “I’m busy now. You can followSerenity and play with Zachary first. Jasmine and I can take you to play when your winter vacationstarts this weekend.”
“Promise? You can’t lie to kids.”
Every child loved playing outdoors, and Sonny was no exception.
Josh laughed. “When have I ever lied to you?”
Sonny thought about it. Indeed, Uncle Josh had never lied to him.
After speaking to Duncan briefly, Josh led the senior managers out of the building.
A few minutes later, Serenity and the rest showed up in the CEO’s office.
Sonny acted like a spoiled child in front of Zachary for a while before being told to read and write onthe sofa by Serenity.
Duncan and Zachary did have a project to discuss. Serenity accompanied Sonny and did notdisturb the men.

From that response, Serenity knew Liberty was busy.
Well, Liberty’s company in Jensburg was newly established. Everything would be difficult at thestart. She had to run around to secure business deals. Even if Liberty’s company had the support ofthree mega-corporations, she still had to socialize to keep the business going.
Serenity leaned against the sofa. While her gaze was on Sonny, her thoughts drifted.
She recalled Mrs. Torres had lost her husband and had a son. When her husband passed away, herson was only two years old.
Sonny was also that age when Liberty got a divorce.

She was a strong woman.
If Mrs. Torres had not had her eyes set on Duncan and were purely businesslike, Serenity wouldhave admired her.

“What are you thinking about?”
Zachary’s deep voice rang in her ear.
Serenity snapped back to her senses and looked toward her husband. He was alone. Duncan wasno longer in the office.
“Where’s Duncan?”
“He left.”
Zachary sat beside Serenity and instinctively caressed her tummy first, where their baby wasgrowing.
He did not notice much change to the shape of her baby bump even though he looked at it everyday. However, other people said she was showing.
“You didn’t even react when Duncan said he was leaving earlier. You were deep in thought. Can youshare with me what you were thinking? Is it about your company?”
At that moment, Sonny kept his books in his bag. He stood up and threw himself into Zachary’sembrace.
“Lift me, Uncle Zak.”
Zachary did so lovingly.
Serenity said, “I’ll tell you about it tonight.”
Zachary guessed that she did not want Sonny to hear what she would say.
He got curious. What had happened that Serenity did not want her favorite nephew to know?
