Sonny hugged Zachary’s neck. He said, “I have something important to tell you, Uncle Zak.”
Zachary asked in a curious tone, “What is it, Sonny?”
“My winter vacation is coming soon.”
Zachary hummed in agreement.
Once winter vacation started, the new year would be arriving.
The year flew by.
“Can I play with Laurence during winter break?”
Sonny looked toward Zachary in anticipation. His eyes were sparkling.
“Who’s taking you there?”
“I wanted Aunt Ser to go with me, but she said she couldn’t answer me. She told me to ask you forpermission. Can I go, Uncle Zak? I miss Laurence. He said he’d be on vacation too.”
Zachary looked toward Serenity.
She smiled. “Sonny asked me about this right after school. I told him to ask you instead. I think it’sfine for me to accompany him because my bump won’t be too big yet.”
She would be four or five months into her pregnancy by the time they were to go to FC Manor. Itwould not affect her traveling by flight.
She would not dare to travel far if she were in her third trimester. Her body might not be able to takeit, and accidents could also happen.
“I can’t let a pregnant woman and a child travel by themselves.”
Zachary said gently, “If you want to go, I’ll go with you two when Laurence is back at FC Manor andreturn by myself. I’m always busy at the end of the year, too.”
After taking his wife and nephew to FC Manor, he could focus on work and even work overtime.
With Ben and Jane around, Zachary was okay with leaving Serenity and Sonny at FC Manor.

Zachary said, “I may be busy at the end of the year, but I still can make time to escort you two over.

“My mom said she’ll be coming back next year, so I’m not going over. It’s too cold there.”
Sonny shivered just by recalling the cold weather in Jensburg. He said, “It’s really cold. I’m justgoing to play with Laurence for some time. Aunt Ser and I will return when my mom comes backnext year.”
Zachary smiled. “Okay. I’ll allow it. I’ll take you and Serenity over for a short stay when your wintervacation starts and after confirming that Laurence is back at FC Manor. I’ll also pick you two upwhen your mom is back.
“However, you must listen to Serenity when you’re there. Don’t be naughty or get into any trouble.”
Sonny immediately promised, “I’ll listen to Aunt Ser and not cause any trouble, Uncle Zak.”
“If you can’t do it, I won’t allow you to visit FC Manor to play anymore.”
Sonny quickly made a pinky promise with Zachary that he could do it.
“You and Laurence will probably have a martial arts battle once you meet him. You should starttraining harder. Even if you can’t beat him, you must at least hold your ground for two minutes.”
Sonny’s face turned red when martial arts was mentioned. He said embarrassedly, “I’ve beenpracticing hard, Uncle Zak, but I still lose to Laurence all the time.”novelbin
