Chapter 3122

Whether it was cooking—oh, right. Tati had not tried his cooking yet. After all, she had only tried thetreats.

The particular treats might have been his specialty and his cooking was just a little better thanregular chefs. There might still be a huge difference between his cooking and the O’Connor chefs’.

If he was not at the very least as good as their current chef, he was not going to get hired.

Isabella said, “I’ll tell Dominic to arrange for the young applicant to come back for an interviewtomorrow afternoon. I’ll be back for dinner tomorrow and I’ll try his cooking then. No one’s allowed tohelp him. He has to do it all by himself.”

Anything edible had to be made with his own hands, not just the main dishes.

Tati smiled. “We’ll all come back for dinner tomorrow to try his cooking then.”

Although it was Isabella who wanted to hire a new chef, her cousins were all foodies too and oftenate at her home. The new chef’s skills were directly related to their happiness and they naturallycould not miss this chance to try more good food.

Isabella said, “You can invite everyone except those living on campus.”

At the mention of their cousins who were still studying, Tati smiled. “It’ll just be the five of us, then. The rest are all still studying and living on campus. It’ll be too far for them to travel.”

The two O’Connor sons were studying at a distant boarding school and would only come homeonce a month.

Of the seven O’Connor ladies, three were working for the family business and helping to manage it,while the other four were still studying.

Their elders were foodies too, but not particularly picky.

They often chided Isabella for being too picky. How was she going to get married? Who was goodenough to cook something different that she found palatable every day?

Isabella was currently the head of the family. Once her younger brother came of age and couldindependently manage the business, she would hand the position over to him.

She might be able to enjoy the luxury now, but she had to get married eventually. Would her in-lawslet her do that?

Even if she was wealthy enough to hire her personal chef, she was so picky that they hardly everlasted a whole year. It would also take ages for her to find a new chef because she was famously afinicky eater.

No matter how well-paid the job was, there were very few applicants.

Isabella laughed. “No one will object as long as he passes my test.”

She was the fussiest out of them all.

As long as she found it palatable, it would definitely be a delicious meal for them.

“That’s right. We all look up to you. Whatever you say goes.

“These treats are yummy though, aren’t they, Isa?”

“I suppose. It would be better if they weren’t so dry.”

It was a little too dry, but she had eaten quite a few of them all the same and drank a lot of water topair with. She did not feel hungry anymore.

She would not have to worry about her stomach growling during the meeting later anymore.

“Oh, right. What’s the name of the new applicant? And where’s he from?” Isabella asked.

Tati replied, “He’s Austin York, from Wiltspoon, Georgia.”

“Georgia? That’s really far.”

The O’Connors had businesses everywhere, even in Georgia, but Isabella left it all to the managersthere to handle and had never been to Georgia herself.

It was simply too far away.novelbin
