Chapter 3121

Tati watched Isabella carefully.

She actually felt relieved when Isabella did not immediately spit out the food.

She was really worried Isabella would do that.

The young chef stood no chance if so.

Isabella ate the other half of the treat.

“Isn’t it yummy, Isa?”

Isabella hummed in acknowledgment.

“It’s meticulously done. Not bad—it’s just a little dry.”

Tati immediately poured a glass of water for Isabella and handed it to her, smiling. “It is. Maybemaking treats isn’t his specialty, but it’s pretty good if you don’t mind eating them.

“I asked him and he said that he started helping out in the kitchen ever since he was at the age ofsix or seven and started learning how to cook after. He might not be thirty yet, but he’s had over adecade of experience cooking.”

“Does he come from a family of cooks?” Isabella had already finished the second treat and wasmoving on to the next.

Perhaps she was truly hungry, or perhaps the treats really were good enough for a second helping.

She had a two-hour meeting coming up too, so it would be embarrassing if she had not eatenanything and her stomach growled during it.

Tati answered, “I didn’t ask about that. He just said that his grandmother wanted him and hiscousins to learn to be independent from a young age, including learning how to cook. He said thatshe’s a pretty picky eater too. If it wasn’t good enough for his nana to eat, he would get a lecture.

“He also said that he truly enjoyed cooking, which was why he studied many different cuisinesunder the tutelage of many famous chefs.”

“So he’s been cooking for over a decade? No wonder he can make something palatable,” Isabellamused.

Tati replied, “I think he could become the world’s best chef with some more experience.”

“How old is he now?”

“Around your age.”novelbin

“He’s that young?” Isabella was surprised.

When she heard he was not even thirty, she thought he would at least be in his late twenties.

Unexpectedly, he was in his mid-twenties, just like she was.

“Very young and very handsome. He’s possibly the best-looking man I’ve ever seen. He’s well-mannered, too. He dresses a bit simply, but he has an inborn dignity to him.”

Isabella teased, “You’re interested in him, aren’t you? You’re raining compliments on him.

“An inborn dignity? Even we couldn’t say that about ourselves, and we were born rich. We had tocultivate that bit by bit.”

They had all taken etiquette lessons before.

They each had a personal tutor when they were young. When they got a little older, they were madeto attend all sorts of banquets and interact with all sorts of bigwigs to broaden their horizons andincrease their knowledge.

That was how they cultivated the air of nobility that permeated their every gesture.

Isabella did not think the applicant would be from a family as prestigious as theirs, although hecould be well off. If he was, he would not have applied for the job.

Isabella suspected Tati had a rose-tinted view of the applicant because he had made a great firstimpression.

Tati did not try to persuade Isabella otherwise. She said, “When you’re free, call him back foranother interview, try his cooking, and meet him for yourself. You’ll know I’m no liar then.”

She thought the applicant was outstanding.
