Chapter 2970

“Thanks, Serenity. I feel more confident after you said that. You’re right. Zachary’s food is excellent, but

I cook more often and enjoy it more than he does. I guess I still stand a chance against other people.”

Not only that, Austin had invested in the food and beverage industry. He often traveled to many places

to try out local delicacies and learned various cuisines.

Sometimes, he would repeat a dish several times to polish it to perfection.

He was also skilled in making home-style dishes and all sorts of intricate desserts.

The bottom line was he would dabble in anything related to food.

That was probably enough to win over Ms. O’Connor’s palate.

“That’s the spirit. A son of the Yorks must be confident. Believe in yourself and Nana. She must’ve

chosen Ms. O’Connor for you because she knew you’d succeed in wooing her.

“Think about it. She’s a foodie but picky. On the other hand, you love cooking and are able to cook a

variety of dishes. It’s as if you two are made for each other. Her stomach is probably waiting for you.”

Austin blushed. “It’s still too early to say that, Serenity. I don’t know her personality yet. I’ll have to

evaluate her character first.”

Looks were not everything.

Truthfully speaking, Ms. O’Connor was not super gorgeous. However, she was still attractive. She had

the kind of beauty that would grow on others.

When Austin saw her photo, he was mesmerized by her glistening, big eyes.

“Anyway, you can trust Nana. She’ll only pick the best for you all. She must’ve evaluated the girls

repeatedly before deciding on them. However, you still have to get to know Ms. O’Connor. After all,

you’ll have to spend the rest of your life with her if you do marry her.

“You have to know her well. Having pleasant interactions and common topics will ensure that you two

won’t get lonely while spending your entire lives with each other.”

Austin agreed. He planned to use the opportunity of becoming Ms. O’Connor’s chef to approach and

get to know her.

More importantly, he would make her fall in love with him.

“Serenity, don’t tell Mom and Dad about Ms. O’Connor yet. What if I failed in courting her? If that

happened, coming back alone would feel shameful.”

Austin was young and arrogant. He was worried about embarrassing himself.

He did not want to tell his parents. There was a chance that he might not be able to win Ms.

O’Connor’s heart. Everyone would laugh at him upon his return, and that would be utterly

embarrassing.

Serenity promised him. “I won’t, but I did mention something along that line when I was convincing

Tania earlier. I said you might’ve decided to be that family’s private chef because the girl Nana chose to

be your wife was there.

“After that, Tania gave in. She said she would let you do whatever you wanted and not care too much.”

Austin said, “You’re really good at guessing, Serenity.”

He had not even told Zachary yet, but Serenity had managed to guess the truth.

Austin said, “You must’ve been infected by Nana. She likes rounding up our age. If you insist on saying

so, I’m already thirty years old now.”

Serenity giggled. “Time flies. You may think you’re still young, but you’ll become a middle-aged man in

no time.” Co?tent belo?gs to Draм?nоvеls.cоm

Serenity smiled. “Okay. I promise not to say anything.”
