Chapter 2954

Serenity took the little boy in her arms and sat him on her lap.

Then she grabbed a piece of tissue to wipe his tears away.

Normally, Sonny seemed so happy-go-lucky. Nevertheless, he was only a three-year-old and still could

not do without his mother. Now that Liberty was in Jensburg, even with Serenity and Zachary taking

care of him and with Duncan’s constant presence, he would still miss his mother.

He missed her even more now that she had called.

“Really? Then I won’t cry anymore. Mom, won’t Dunc and I disturb your work?”

Sonny really did miss his mother, but he also knew she was very busy and was worried his visit would

disturb her work.

Liberty said gently, “It’s fine. You’re coming for the weekend and Mom rests on weekends too. And I

want to spend time with you even if I don’t get to rest.”

She missed her son very much too.

It was just that she was not done with the things she had to do in Jensburg and still could not return to

Wiltspoon for the time being.

It was also possible she would have to permanently stay in Jensburg in the future.

If that was the case, she would move Sonny to Jensburg for school. That way, they would not have to

separate.

In Wiltspoon, Serenity and Zachary took care of Sonny devotedly, but Serenity would soon have her

own child to take care of and Liberty did not want her to be too burdened.

Sonny quickly cheered up.

He continued happily telling his mother about the exciting things that had happened at preschool,

repeating some, but Liberty patiently listened to him.

Sonny only reluctantly hung up once they got to the Stones’ home.

Serenity had not even managed to say more than two sentences to Liberty.

At the thought that he would very soon be reunited with his mother, Sonny was elated.

After he got out of the car and spotted Audrey who had come out to welcome them, he ran toward her

and shouted happily, “Grandaunt Audrey, I’m here to see you!”

Audrey stepped forward to pick him up with a smile and gave him kisses on both cheeks.

“I haven’t seen you in only two days but I missed you so much.”

Sonny hugged Audrey around the neck. “I missed you and the baby a lot too!”

Audrey laughed. “He laughed just now. Maybe he laughed in joy because he knew you were coming to

see him.”

Sonny thought the baby did laugh because of him.novelbin

In Sonny’s heart, Mom and Aunt Ser were the most important people and he wanted to protect them

before anything else when he grew up.

Audrey teased, “Aren’t you going to protect me too?” New ch?pter avаilable o? Dr?мanоvеls.cоm

Sonny looked at Audrey with bright, twinkling eyes as he said, “Grandaunt Audrey, you don’t need me

to protect you. You have lots of people to do that!”

Audrey laughed and lightly pinched his cheek. “You cheeky little rascal.”

Sonny was a little embarrassed and buried his head into her shoulder as he hugged her neck.

Serenity walked over to them, carrying his little school bag.
