Chapter 2745

Besides, Duncan was a good man to Liberty and Sonny. He saw Sonny as his own.

Liberty had rejected him and refused to remarry because she did not want to be miserable again. She

was worried Sonny would be bullied too.

However, Duncan had cleared all obstacles for her sake. The Lewis family eventually accepted Liberty

and was looking forward to her getting married to Duncan. She did not have to worry about Sonny

getting bullied either. Duncan’s love for Sonny had surpassed that of Hank’s.novelbin

If Liberty wanted to get married again, Duncan would be her best choice.

“Duncan just doesn’t want to hold you back. He wants to make you happy. Just wait for him. I believe

he’ll be able to stand up soon.”

“I know. That’s why I’m waiting for him. I’ll continue waiting no matter how many years he needs. In the

meantime, I’ll work hard to advance my career.”

Although she had to rely on the three wealthiest families in Wiltspoon for investments, she had gained

a lot out of it.

The experience she had accumulated could not have been bought with money.

“Good luck! You’re the best, Liberty. I’m proud of you.”

Liberty smiled. “I’ll do my best.”

“Okay, go get some rest. Remember to inform me if anything happens. I’ll worry about you if you don’t.

We can think of a solution to any problems if you share them with me. It’ll make things easier for

everyone too.”

“I know.”

After the sisters’ call ended, Liberty could not fall back to sleep despite wanting to.

She got up and washed up.

After changing into fresh clothes, she went out to get some food.

As the hotel’s restaurant no longer served breakfast at that hour, she had no choice but to head outside

to buy her food.

Her head still hurt when she returned to the hotel after breakfast, so she took the painkillers from her

luggage and consumed them. The pharmacist had told her that the painkillers had side effects, but she

was used to it.

She did not take the painkillers often anyway. Despite the side effects, an occasional small dosage

would not harm her much.

The next moment, her phone rang again.

She sat on a chair and answered the call after noting the caller ID.

“Liberty.”

Duncan spoke with his deep voice.

“Mm,” replied Liberty.

Duncan was relieved upon hearing her voice.

He just received a call from his bodyguard and found out what happened to Liberty last night.

Although the bodyguard mentioned that Liberty was fine and that the casualty was a bodyguard of the

Fisher family, Duncan still felt fearful.

He made arrangements to fly to Jensburg that very day. He wanted to be by Liberty’s side to ensure

she was unharmed. That was the only way to calm himself.

He would only stay in Jensburg for a short time. He just wanted to have a look at her.

After all, it was difficult for him to move around. If he stayed long, he would be a hindrance to her

instead of being helpful.

Duncan was unwilling to trouble the woman he loved.

“I’m fine, Duncan.”

Liberty knew why he called.

Aunt Audrey would probably call her soon as well.

She had six bodyguards from the Yorks, the Stones, and the Lewises. Those three families would be

informed of everything she was doing in Jensburg.

The bodyguards’ mission was to protect and not monitor her. However, they would not hide anything if

their bosses asked for information.
