Chapter 2737

Zachary chuckled, “Oh kids, being playful is their nature. Sonny does not have many playmates

usually, he’s always by himself. Even when we adults are with him, he feels lonely. Kids still prefernovelbin

playing with kids.”

Zachary gently touched Serenity’s belly, “Our little one won’t be coming out to meet us until next year.

By the time our baby grows to Sonny’s age, Sonny won’t like playing with little kids anymore.”

“Sonny will be caring for his young cousins. He’s like my sister and has an older sibling’s demeanor.”

“Indeed. Time to sleep. If you’re still not sleepy, help me with something, okay?”

Serenity replied hesitantly, “I’m sleeping, I’m falling asleep.”

She closed her eyes, claiming to be asleep.

With a soft chuckle, Zachary teased. “Even talking in your sleep now, huh?”

“I’m sleep-talking.”

Zachary playfully nibbled at her lips before cuddling her and both of them drifted back to dreamland.

They had a peaceful night.

The next morning, in the Fisher’s household in Jensburg.

Caroline, accustomed to waking up early, put on sportswear and brisked out of her room.

Once out, she intentionally stepped lightly so as not to disturb the others still resting.

Last night’s commotion lasted late into the wee hours. The manor only settled down after Hunter was

taken to the hospital.

Caroline had no idea about her father’s condition.

After her mother instructed her and her three brothers to go downstairs, she heard her father’s pained

cry not long after. Soon after, an ambulance arrived, carrying her father away to the hospital. Only her

mother and her team of bodyguards went to the hospital whereas others were forbidden.

They were not allowed to inquire about the reason behind her father’s cry either.

Caroline just needed to know that her father was alive. Belinda probably would not take Hunter’s life

considering her children.

As she reached the staircase, she heard the sound of doors opening from other rooms, followed by

footsteps. She looked over and saw Emma.

“Good morning, Caroline,” greeted Emma with a smile.

Caroline’s beautiful eyes shimmered. She responded without changing her expression, “Up so early,

Emma?”

“Yup. I couldn’t get back to sleep once I got up. So, I figured I’d go for a walk.”

Speaking of which, Emma lowered her voice and said, “I want to go outside and check on Celine. She

was crying at the entrance for most of the night. Her cries only died down after midnight. Who knows if

she’s still alive in this cold.”

Jensburg was way colder than Wiltspoon.

Wiltspoon was only getting colder, with jackets in the morning and evening would suffice.

The temperature in Jensburg now, especially during late nights and early mornings, was bone-chilling.

It was as cold as a typical winter day in Wiltspoon.

Caroline said, “Mom asked you girls to throw her clothes outside. I doubt she’ll freeze to death.”

However, for Celine who had been pampered by the Fisher family since childhood, being driven out of

Fisher Manor with nothing but her clothes was too much for her.

Emma pondered for a moment and said, “You’re right, she won’t freeze to death. However, crying all

night might’ve left her voice hoarse. I just want to go out to check on her.”

With that, she lowered her voice again and said, “Since Mom is not around, this is our only chance to

assert ourselves in front of her. Oh right, she’s no longer Celine Fisher. Mom said that she’s no longer a

Fisher.”
