Chapter 2736

That kind of fear was something Zachary only wanted to experience once; he would not want to go

through it a second time.

“What happened to the Fisher family?”

Serenity asked, adding, “I’m awake now and can’t sleep for a while. Tell me about it.”

Zachary leaned in, kissed her on the face, and then playfully poked her lips while smiling. “I’m afraid it

will dirty your ears. It’s not a good thing, well, at least not for the Fisher family. But for us, their

misfortune is our good fortune.”

Seeing her interested expression, Zachary whispered a few words in her ear, making Serenity’s eyes

widen.

She looked at Zachary, somewhat incredulous.

Zachary nodded and said, “Kev described it that way. He even witnessed the scene, and he said he

was so shocked that his eyeballs almost fell out. It took him a while on the ground to find and pick up

his fallen eyeballs.”

Serenity burst into laughter, “Your description... Kev isn’t here but if he were, it would be strange if he

didn’t want to smack you.

“Clark is the surname of my grandaunt’s husband, isn’t it? If Celine is their adopted daughter, treated

as their own before the truth came out, and given their deep father-daughter affection, they wouldn’t do

such a thing.

“Who is manipulating all this behind the scenes? Isn’t there usually an assistant beside the matriarch,

especially a capable one?”

Zachary explained, “There’s no doubt they fell into a trap. Besides a member of the Fisher family,

there’s nobody else who could be the mastermind. It must be someone who resents Celine and holds a

grudge against Mr. Clark, someone who wants to bring them to ruin, even if not to death, at least

hoping they suffer greatly.

“This person also needs to understand Madam Fisher’s temperament, knowing that she can’t accept

this outcome. Regardless of whether Mr. Clark and Celine are innocent, Madam Fisher can’t accept it

and will take action against both.”

Serenity thought of Caroline. “Could it be Caroline?”

“Do you think it’s her?”

After a brief thought, Serenity shook her head. “I doubt that. Although she inherited the tough spirit from

our grandaunt, she did not grow up in the Fisher household. Her toughness was forged from her harsh

upbringing, where ruthlessness is a necessity. However, she still has a conscience. I doubt she would

resort to such a despicable method.

“However, I believe that she might be in the know. Mr. Fletcher, the one who visited Wiltspoon, is

affiliated with Caroline. Josh did some investigating and found out that Mr. Fletcher is employed by

Madam Fisher to act as Caroline’s assistant. This suggests that Mr. Fletcher is quite capable too.

“If something happened within her own family, and Caroline wasn’t aware of it beforehand, it would

mean she is negligent as the heiress of the Fisher family.”

Zachary praised with a smile, “That’s my wife, so clever.”

“Who would do such a thing? It’s truly ruthless and evil. It not only disrupted the dynamics within the

Fisher family but also strategically took down Hunter Clark and Celine Fisher. This move has left

Madam Fisher in great turmoil.

“I have never been to Jensburg myself, but Liberyt has told me about how audacious that impostor

Celine is and how she has been confrontational toward Caroline. She even ganged up with others

within Fisher Manor to go against Caroline. Arrogant people like her tend to make enemies and incur

the wrath of others.

“Weren’t there rumors about the three young masters of the Fisher household having affairs? I believenovelbin

the one behind this incident could very well be one of their wives, or even all three of them in cahoots.”

Zachary once again affectionately kissed her, and said with a soothing voice, “Darling, we’re not even

visiting the place, and there’s nothing we can do about this. There’s no need to analyze any further,

let’s just go to sleep. We’ll be going back to work starting tomorrow. You even set your alarm to six

thirty in the morning, so if you don’t go to sleep now, even the alarm isn’t going to wake you up.

“We still need to send Sonny to preschool tomorrow morning.”

“Sonny had requested a day off. Let him play with Laurence, the two of them couldn’t get enough of

each other’s company.”
