Caroline said, “What’s the fun in going alone? It's more fun to have Ava and Ellie join in. If Mom comes
back and sees us, you three won’t be solely responsible, and Mom won’t do anything to you.”
“Even though Mom drove her away in anger and said she was no longer a Fisher, what can Mom do if
Celine does not cooperate? She definitely won’t change her surname. She’s very disdainful toward her
biological parents. When her true mother came to see her, she dismissed her like a beggar.”
Caroline knew how Celine treated her biological mother when she came looking for Celine last time.
“Celine’s mother treated her so poorly, she deserves to be rejected by Celine.”
“I’m afraid that after Mom calms down, if Celine sheds a few tears, and acts pitiful, Mom might soften
up.”
Emma said in shock, “Even in this situation, Mom might allow her to come back?”

Thinking about Caroline being treated indulgently by Belinda, Emma nodded. “There’s a slight
possibility. I’ll message Ava and Ellie and ask if they want to witness Celine’s predicament.”
Last night, none of them dared to go outside to see.
After they dragged Celine out and left her at the estate’s gates, they returned to their rooms right away,
not daring to stay any longer.
They needed to keep a low profile and avoid adding fuel to the fire that was Belinda’s wrath, which
could burn down the entire Fisher family.
“Emma, I’m going for a run.”
“On such a cold day, you’re up so early for a run. I admire your determination, and consistency. I can’t
get up for a run. Look at how my belly is growing bigger.”
Emma patted her slightly pudgy belly.
“You’re maintaining your figure quite well, considering how many women start gaining weight and have
trouble controlling once they reach middle age. As long as you control your diet, you’ll slim down.”
Emma nodded. “I’m starting to monitor my diet, to avoid overeating. I’m also going for a dance tonight.”
Caroline went downstairs.
Emma then sent messages to her sisters-in-law.
Soon, Ava and Ellie emerged from their rooms.
As it turned out, like Emma, they could not sleep well last night. It seemed that hardly anyone could
enjoy a good night’s sleep.
As Caroline went downstairs, she saw a servant, who greeted her respectfully.
“Ms. Caroline, it’s a little colder than usual. Are you sure you want to go out for a walk? Exercising in
the gym would be just as effective.”
It was an indoor gym. It should be warmer there.
“I’m wearing winter sportswear, so I won’t feel the cold while running. In the past, they would have me
go out and run errands early in the morning when it snowed. I even wore thin clothing back then. I’m
used to the cold. Besides, it hasn’t even started snowing yet.”
The servant looked sympathetic and said, “Those are things of the past. Indeed, the way they treated
you then was despicable. Look at how well Madam Fisher treated Ms. Celine. Oh, I should just address
her as Celine. Sorry, I blurted that out of habit.”
Seeing how Celine got exiled by Madam Fisher, the servant knew that Celine had committed a grave
mistake. This increased her respect toward Caroline to some extent.
After all, Caroline was related to her boss by blood.
Even though Ms. Caroline grew up in the countryside and might not have a close bond with Madam
Fisher, her blood ties with Madam Fisher were something Celine could not compare to.
The servant had come to terms with the new reality.
No matter how much Madam Fisher loved Celine in the past, as long as she was not a blood relative,
the one who would eventually take the higher position was Caroline.
The servant had to treat Caroline with utmost respect. The best outcome for her was to have a smoothnovelbin
