“Liberty’s bodyguards hitched a ride in Hayden’s bodyguard car. They all claimed to have drunk and

Zachary paused.
“Did I wake you up, honey?”
Serenity tried to get up. Zachary immediately helped her up, asking, “Are you thirsty? I’ll pour you a
glass of water.”
“Yeah, I’ll go to the bathroom first.”
Zachary supported her as they both got off the bed. He watched her enter the bathroom before pouring
a cup of water for her. Then, he sat on the edge of the bed, waiting for her to come out.
When Serenity came out, he put down the cup of water and stood up to help her. However, she
stopped him, saying, “I’m not deep into my pregnancy yet. You don’t need to assist me. Why are you so
nervous already? If you're like this now, what will happen when I’m actually in labor? Will you be as
anxious as Elisa was, driving yourself to the hospital before I even get in the car?”
Zachary cleared his throat and said, “Even If I’m extremely nervous, I won’t make the same mistake
Elisa did. The first thing I’m gonna do is carry you into the car, and I wouldn’t leave without you, even if
you try to leave me behind.”
Serenity laughed. “If you are left behind, who’s going to drive me to the hospital? Do you expect me to
drive myself to the hospital? The pain from the contraction will intensify, and I might not be able to drive
myself there.
“Next year when I’m delivering, you better not drive. I won’t feel at ease with you behind the wheel. Let
the chauffeur drive instead.”
