Chapter 2674

“Miss, take care of yourself. If anything happens, call me immediately,” Darren advised.

Caroline smiled and replied, “I can’t rely on you for everything. Don’t worry, nothing will happen.”

Even if she encountered an assassination attempt, she had some self-defense skills. Without them,

she would not have survived the abuse of her foster mother’s family.

After ending the call with Darren, Caroline drove directly to the rendezvous.

When she arrived, Liberty was already there. She had not gotten out of her car. Seeing another car

approaching, Liberty lowered her car window, watching as Caroline parked the car beside hers.

Caroline was the first to take off her sunglasses and then peel off the human mask on her face, novelbin

revealing her true appearance. Smiling, she greeted Liberty as she got out of her car.

Seeing this, Liberty also got out, asking, “How did you know it was me? Weren’t you afraid it might be

someone else?”

“At this hour, in such a remote place, with no houses around, even the timid wouldn’t dare to come here

at night, afraid of ghosts. Look, there’s a cemetery over there. There wouldn’t be anyone else other

than you waiting for me here.”

Liberty looked around. After arriving, she realized there was no one living around. It took her a while to

find a place to park while waiting for Caroline’s arrival.

At this moment, the place where they parked was quite a walk from the address given to her by Darren.

“I didn’t know it was so close to the cemetery. If I did, I probably wouldn’t dare to come alone. People

are afraid of ghosts, you know.”

Caroline chuckled. “What’s there to fear about ghosts? Humans are scarier. Haven’t you heard of that?”

“Your disguise is quite impressive. The person waiting at the hotel entrance to protect you didn’t even

recognize you.”

If it were not for their prior arrangements, Caroline would not have recognized Liberty.

She put on a wig and modest clothes, and even wore a mask and a pair of sunglasses, making it hard

to recognize her.

“It’s nothing. I just used a wig, a pair of sunglasses, and a surgical mask to conceal my identity. You

totally blew me out of the water. Where did you find such a realistic human mask? It's so real that if I

hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe such masks exist.”

Caroline said, “I still have a few more in my car. Do you want one? I’ll give you one for free. Mr.

Fletcher made these for me, I can always ask him to make more.”

Liberty did not hold back. “I’ll take a few then. The next time we meet, we can just walk openly while in

disguise, not having to wear this conspicuous getup.”

“Haha, it’s a good thing Mr. Lewis isn’t here. Otherwise, he would kill me, accusing me of going out with

you.”

Caroline turned back and took a box out of her car before handing it over to Liberty. “It’s in this box.

Hide it well, don’t let anybody see it.”

“Thanks. By the way, you’re a woman, Duncan wouldn't have a complaint if I met up with you.

“Besides, you are still my elder.”

Caroline chuckled. “Aren’t Kevin and Hayden homosexual? Maybe Mr. Lewis suspects the same of us.

Since I’m your elder, he has to show me some respect as well.

“Did you come alone?” Caroline asked.

“Yup. Seren is at home resting due to her pregnancy, Elisa is busy with business matters, and Aunt

Audrey is taking care of Alice who just gave birth.”

Caroline smiled even more joyfully, saying, “Congratulations! My cousin is already a grandmother, and

I’m not even married.”

The age gap between her aunt and her mother was huge. If her aunt were alive, she would be nearly

ninety years old. On the other hand, she was only twenty-eight.
