Chapter 2660

“Alright, I’ll go downstairs by myself. No need to help me.”

Duncan’s mood had gone from a snowstorm to a clear sky.

Quite a drastic change, ha-ha.

He grabbed the sofa armrest and stood up on his own, taking a step before sitting back down in his

wheelchair.

Zachary said, “I won’t help you, you’re on your own.”

Despite saying that, he steered the wheelchair in the right direction before letting Duncan take control.

The three of them left the room together, heading toward the elevator.

“You take the elevator down, Serenity and I will take the stairs.”

Duncan nodded, “As you wish. I still need to use it for now.”

Once he could walk like a normal person, the elevator at home would get a break.

As Duncan entered the elevator, Zachary pulled Serenity toward the stairs and said, “Duncan cares toonovelbin

much about Liberty, that’s why he couldn’t help but get lost in his thoughts.”

“I hope he gets better soon. Actually, Liberty has accepted him from the bottom of her heart. It’s not her

problem now; it’s Duncan himself who can’t get over this hurdle. He insists on waiting until he’s fully

recovered before being with Liberty.”

“Next year, I think, at the latest by the end of next year, when we see him, we’ll have to call him brother-

in-law. Oh dear, a good buddy becomes my brother-in-law. It’s a bit hard to say it aloud.”

Serenity laughed. “You can call Elisa your cousin, but calling Duncan brother-in-law is difficult?”

Zachary replied, “It's different. Elisa gave me no other choice. If I didn't address her as my cousin,

she'd always badmouth me in front of you, so what else could I do? But if I don't address Duncan as

'brother-in-law,' he can't really do anything to me.

“Nothing that affects our relationship anyway. So, it’s different.”

At that time, when he suddenly acknowledged Elisa as his cousin for Serenity’s sake, Elisa was

surprised. Serenity laughed and said, "It's just a kinship, Duncan won’t mind it."

Duncan had always been hearty and straightforward. Now, his emotional fluctuations might be due to

the aftermath of the accident that left him disabled. Once he fully recovered, he would likely return to

being the carefree Mr. Lewis, just as he was before.

“When will Liberty reach Jensburg? She hasn’t sent me any messages yet.”

“She’ll text you when she does. I have already told Kevin to wait for her at the airport. Don’t worry,

she’s not a child anymore.”

Serenity said, “I’m not worried about anything but her safety. Once I know that she has safely landed,

only then I’ll be relieved.”

“The plane will land once it gets dark. Nowadays, it gets dark early, even by six o'clock.”

Liberty boarded the afternoon flight, and it would be time for dinner when she landed.

At this moment, Liberty was indeed still on the plane. She laid back on her seat, closing her eyes.

She could not sleep, worried about her son and Duncan.

She wondered if that sulky man was willing to eat.

Was he still angry at her for not allowing him to tag along to Jensburg?

Zachary should be able to console him, right? She sent Duncan hundreds of messages, repeatedly

explaining things, but she did not know if he had read them.
