Chapter 2661

At Jensburg Airport, Kevin was waiting for Liberty’s arrival.

He dared not defy Zachary’s orders, though he would have still fetched Liberty from the airport even if

Zachary had not entrusted him with the task. She was Serenity’s sister and Sonny’s mother after all,

and that made her family.

Kevin occasionally checked his watch.

The sky was getting dark, and Liberty only arrived when night fell.

She turned off airplane mode on her phone once she landed and sent a voice note to Serenity, “Seren,

I just landed in Jensburg. I’ll be getting off the plane soon. I’ll call you back once I’m at Fortress Hotel.”

Liberty would be staying at Fortress Hotel during her trip, the same one she stayed with Audrey for her

last trip to Jensburg.

Audrey had told her to keep a lookout for houses to purchase. It would be much more convenient to

live in her own place instead of the hotel all the time. Audrey asked her to choose a nice house and

even offered to pay for it.

The house Liberty currently had in Wiltspoon was sold to her by Zachary at a low price because she

refused to accept it as a gift. Zachary’s hands were tied.

Even so, it required nearly all of her savings.

Liberty did not have the means to purchase a house in Jensburg yet. Since Audrey had asked her to

find a good one and offered to buy one, she would do as told; only the name on the title deed would be

her aunt’s.

She and Audrey would be visiting Jensburg frequently in the future. Having a house would make things

easier for them.

Audrey had wanted to tag along on the trip but Alice was still in her postpartum period, so she had to

let Liberty travel alone.

Audrey was training Liberty to take over the Fisher family. It had been communicated to Liberty,

Serenity, and Elisa. Liberty had a heavy responsibility on her shoulders.

Serenity replied with a text instantly: [Okay. Have something to eat once you arrive at the hotel. You

can call me when you’re free.]

Liberty returned a thumbs-up emoji, and added in text: [Have you guys eaten? Sonny didn’t cry after I

left, right? How’s Duncan? Have you and Zachary visited him?]

Serenity smiled. [We’ve eaten and are on a walk now. Sonny didn’t cry. He followed us to the Lewises’

in the evening and even coaxed Duncan. Duncan is fine now. I think he’ll call you soon. Did he send

you any messages?]

[He sent plenty. I’ll look at them later. I’m disembarking now.]

Serenity did not reply to give her sister some time to get off the airplane.

After Liberty disembarked, she collected her luggage with a few bodyguards before walking out.

Ten minutes later, Kevin spotted Liberty exiting the airport with her luggage and waved at her.

“Liberty.”

She saw him and walked toward him.

“Have you waited long, Kevin?”novelbin

“No. I just got here. I guessed your ETA from the flight details Zachary sent me.”

Jim and Milo addressed Kevin respectfully.

The bodyguards Duncan and Audrey assigned to follow Liberty greeted Kevin, too.

Kevin took Liberty’s luggage from her and said, “I’ll hold this for you, Liberty. Let’s go. My car’s parked

outside. The rest can take a taxi. Jim, you’ll be riding with us.”

“Okay, Mr. Kevin.”
