Chapter 2640

Caroline looked toward Hunter in disbelief.

Hunter felt ashamed.

Most parents would conceal their mistakes and keep their children in the dark. They did not want their

children’s impression of them to be ruined.

However, Belinda had made his children and daughters-in-law witness his shame. His wrongdoings

were exposed, and he could never raise his head proudly around them again.

Luckily, his grandchildren were not around. Otherwise, he could never face them too.

“Mom.”

Caroline quickly sat beside Belinda and consoled her.

“Mom, Dad may not have been thinking clearly at that time. He loves you so much. He might’ve fallen

into a trap or was set up by that woman.”

Hunter went along with Caroline’s assumption and pushed all the blame to that woman.

Belinda was about to light up another cigarette but was stopped by Caroline.

“Smoking isn’t good for your health, Mom.

“I know you’re angry and sad, but you can’t punish your own body over Dad’s betrayal. You should stop

smoking. It’s unhealthy.”novelbin

Belinda stared at Caroline. She was the only child who was concerned about her.

As for the rest…

Belinda’s gaze swept across her other children. They looked guilty and did not make a sound.

“Was Dad framed?

“You and Dad have been married for decades and even had four children. Your relationship has been

stable all along. Everyone knows how well Dad treats you. Although I’ve only been back for three

years, I know you and Dad are a loving couple.

“Someone must’ve set him up. There’s no way he would betray you.”

Belinda looked toward her husband.

Hunter returned her gaze.

“Honey, it’s all a scheme. I don’t know what happened. I…”

Belinda picked up an ashtray from the coffee table and hurled it at Hunter. It hit him before shattering

into pieces once it fell to the ground.

“Do you think I’m a child who is easily fooled? Caroline is putting in good words for you because she

knows nothing. She didn’t grow up with us. I want to rip that woman to shreds, but she said something

right—what would she want from you? A taste of older men?

“Would she have booked a hotel room with you if it weren’t for you lusting after her beauty and body?

Since I’ve already beaten her up, I won’t bother her again. The blame is all on you.

“I’ve taught you a lesson back when you first thought of cheating on me. You promised you wouldn’t

betray me again. Was that all a lie? You forgot everything while I was absent.

“No wonder none of your sons are loyal to their marriages. They claimed to love their girlfriends before

their marriages but now have mistresses when it has only been a few years. They even came up with

excuses like such encounters were unavoidable during social engagements.

“Who said businessmen must have mistresses? You’re all just looking for excuses for your sorry asses

because you can’t control your sexual desires.”

Belinda dragged her sons into her berate.
