Chapter 2641

The Clark brothers dared not breathe heavily.

Belinda had been nice to them all along. Although neither of them was an heir to the Fisher family and

they took on their father’s surname instead, they were still young masters of the Fishers.

Most people regarded them with respect as well.

They also held important positions in Fisher Enterprise, which had provided them with money.

While Caroline also held a high position in the company, she had to bear Belinda’s wrath every day. On

the other hand, Belinda had never scolded the brothers unless they brought it upon themselves or

committed a grave mistake.

Nevertheless, they desperately wished to turn invisible when dragged into their father’s mess. They did

not want to face their mother’s anger.

The brothers knew how possessive she was of Hunter.

Hunter was the poorest person in the family; even a maid had more money on their hands than him.

“Which of you gave Hunter money? You better come clean with the exact amount you gave him ever

since I left for Wiltspoon. Otherwise, I’ll stop giving you an allowance. You’ll have to earn and spend

your own money without using a single penny that belongs to the family.”

Emma quickly surrendered. “Mom, Dad had borrowed some money from me. I gave him a thousand

dollars because he’s my father-in-law. It was only that one time. He even complained that the sum was

too small.

“When Adrian and I were quarreling, Dad said I was useless for not being able to keep an eye on mynovelbin

husband and that was why Adrian cheated on me. Thereafter, I never gave him money anymore.”

Justin’s wife, Ava, added, “Dad mentioned he didn’t have any money left, and he felt shameful that he

couldn’t even treat his friends to a meal during gatherings. I did think it was embarrassing that a man

didn’t even have five hundred dollars, so I gave him five thousand.

“When Emma came to me and complained that Dad favored his cheating sons and blamed us for being

useless, I got mad and stopped giving him money.”

Ellie, Belinda’s youngest daughter-in-law, chimed in, “I made a fuss and went to live with my family for

a few days after discovering Jason’s affair. Dad was barely home after I returned, and I hardly saw him.

He never asked me for money, so I didn’t give him any while you were away, Mom.”

Caroline said, “I didn’t give Dad any too.”

She and Hunter did not have a father-daughter bond, nor did Hunter care about her. He never

borrowed money from her because he knew he could never get any from her.

The three brothers and Celine’s faces were pale. They hesitated to speak.

They had given Hunter a lot of money, especially Adrian and Celine. The money they gave him could

amount to over a hundred grand.

Adrian alone had given Hunter tens of thousands of dollars.

“Speak!”

Belinda slammed the table with her hand and ordered her children to talk.

The siblings were startled. They dared not stammer anymore and reported a figure honestly.

There was a transaction history they could refer to where they could track how much money they had

given Hunter.

Hunter had gotten over a million dollars from his children.

Belinda bellowed, “Kneel, the four of you.”

Adrian and his brothers kneeled immediately.

“Mom, I really didn’t know Dad took the money to flirt with another woman. I was just fulfilling my duty

as a child.”

Celine sat beside Belinda and hugged her arm. She said sweetly, “Don’t be angry, Mom. It’ll affect your

health. We’d be worried if you got sick.”

Belinda flung Celine’s hands away. She said coldly, “Didn’t you hear me?”

“Mom.”

Celine refused.

She was the apple of her parents’ eyes since she was young and had never needed to kneel.
