Chapter 2624

There were still a few days left.

“Liberty, what’s going on?”

“Both Duncan and I are busy today, and we don’t have time to fetch Sonny from school. Can you and

Zachary pick him up? Then take him to his dad. Hank said he wanted to see him.”

Hank promised that he would no longer appear in front of Liberty and disturb her life.

He kept his word.

If the Brown family wanted to see Sonny, Liberty would take him to the old neighborhood where she

and Hank used to live. Olivia would be waiting at the entrance of the neighborhood. Liberty would leave

after handing Sonny over. When Sonny wished to go home, the Browns would bring him directly to All

You Can Eat.

“Okay, Zachary and I will go pick up Sonny later. Should he stay for dinner at the Browns’ place?”

“You can ask Sonny. If he wants to stay for dinner, then let him. Tomorrow is Saturday, so he can stay

overnight at their place. You and Zachary don’t have to wait there.” Liberty was aware that Serenity and

Zachary disliked the Browns.

Serenity nodded. “I got it. You just focus on your work. I’ll go pick up Sonny.”

Liberty hung up quickly. Serenity heard someone looking for Liberty on the other end of the phone right

before the call ended, knowing that her sister was a very busy person now.

“What’s wrong with Liberty?” Elisa asked with concern.

“Liberty’s occupied with work and she couldn’t pick up Sonny today, so she asked me and Zachary to

help. The Browns wanted to see Sonny, so we’ll take him to the Browns once we pick him up. It’s thenovelbin

weekend tomorrow, so if Sonny wants to stay, let him.”

Elisa questioned, “I wonder if the Brown family has really quieted down?”

“Yes. Hank is a man of his word. Aside from visiting Sonny from time to time, they no longer bothered

my sister. If only they had done this sooner, they would not have ended in this predicament either.”

Jessica’s jealousy, which led to her intention of harming Sonny, stemmed from the Browns trying to get

Hank to remarry Liberty after their divorce. In order to preserve her marriage with Hank, Jessica felt

jealous and arrived at the point where she was today.

After checking the time, Serenity said, “Alice, Elisa, I’ll be leaving first. I will be returning to the office

next Tuesday.”

The last sentence was intended for Elisa.

Elisa replied, “So soon? Why not take a few more days off?”

Serenity deliberately sighed and said, “I think I’m a workaholic. Being idle at home always feels off. It's

better for me to go back to work.”

If she went back to work, Zachary would naturally follow suit.

Elisa laughed. “Yeah, yeah, you are a workaholic. The entire Wiltspoon envies your busy and fruitful

life. Quick, go pick up Sonny. If you’re late, he might get upset.”

Serenity exited Alice’s room.

Zachary stood up and waited at the stairway as he saw Serenity walking down the stairs.

He extended his hand to help Serenity down.

“We heading home?”

“Liberty said she was busy and asked us to fetch Sonny from preschool and bring him to the Browns.

They wanted to see the kid.”

Zachary chuckled. “Well then, let’s inform Aunt Audrey and we can pick Sonny up.”

He grabbed Serenity’s hands. When she looked at him, he winked at her, hinting that he had something

to tell her.

The couple bade Aunt Audrey farewell.

“What were you trying to tell me?”

As the car left the vicinity of the villa, Serenity asked her husband.
