Chapter 2622

The purpose Belinda wanted to get rid of Serenity was because Serenity was the eldest daughter-in-

law of the York family. As long as Serenity was alive, the Yorks were backing the Hunt sisters, and they

would join forces with the Stone Family to deal with the Fisher Family.

Belinda sacrificed family ties to ascend to the position she held today. After several decades in this

position, she could not simply hand it over to the descendants of her elder sister.

Back then, she was cruel enough to eliminate her sisters. Eliminating her niece and grandnieces now

was like crushing an ant for her; there would be no pain and hesitation at all.

However, she could not stay in Wiltspoon for longer than she already had. Her prolonged presence in

Wiltspoon attracted too much attention from the Yorks and the Stones.novelbin

Besides, her lack of influence in Wiltspoon was further inconveniencing her actions. It was better to

return to her fortress in Jensburg and plan her next moves.

Leaving behind a loyal bodyguard, she instructed him to train Carrie into a killer, preparing for the

opportune moment to seize Serenity's life.

“Understood, Madam. I will follow your instructions.”

Belinda responded by nodding before handing the bodyguard a phone number, saying, “This is Carrie’s

contact number. Save it on your phone. However, when you contact her, don’t use your phone to avoid

being tracked by Zachary.

“Just use a public phone to contact her.”

“Understood.”

After giving the instructions, Belinda remained silent for a long time before saying, “There’s nothing

else. You may leave.”

The bodyguard respectfully exited the room.

Belinda sat quietly for a while before leaving and returning to Wiltspoon Hotel. She completed the

check-out procedures and left with her luggage. She walked out of the hotel escorted by several

bodyguards.

The airport transfer was waiting for her at the hotel entrance and off she headed toward Wiltspoon

Airport.

Meanwhile, Zachary also received the news of Belinda’s departure.

As they were already at the Stones’ residence, he did not inform Serenity immediately because she

was playing with the baby in Alice’s room.

Alice had returned home from the hospital and officially started her postpartum recovery. During this

time, her activities were confined to her room.

The only man allowed into her room was none other than her husband, Clive.

“The baby becomes cuter the more you look at him. Really, he changes by the day.”

Serenity now loved babies the most.

Holding her nephew, Elisa could not bear to let go. She said, “My mom said that children change a lot

every day. In the first three months, the skin color might be a bit dark, but after a hundred days, it will

become fair.”

Currently, the baby’s skin was not fair.

The baby was just a few days old, he only ate and slept. He slept even more soundly when he was

held by his aunt. Even when he was asleep, Elisa was reluctant to let him go.

While lying in bed, Alice said, “Elisa, the baby has fallen asleep. Put him down. Don’t let him get used

to being held all the time. Otherwise, you’ll have to carry him every day.”

“If I have to carry him every day, then I will. I have plenty of time. I just love holding him. He’s so cute.

Watching him sleep like a little angel is so heartwarming.”
