Chapter 2621

The janitor threw a note into Carrie’s car and left. She intended to tell Carrie that someone was waiting

for her at a bakery near the hospital. However, Carrie berated her from the get-go using offensive

language. The janitor had to endure it and refrained from swinging the broom at the car, not wanting to

say another word when she was being treated like that.

Carrie thought the janitor was throwing garbage into her car.

When she picked up the note and was about to get out of the car, she unexpectedly found words

written on it: [Meet me at the bakery, Mrs. Clark.]

Carrie then realized the janitor was delivering the note to her, wanting to explain why she had knocked

on her car window.

She wanted to get out of the car to catch up with the janitor, but the person had already gone far.

Considering the harsh words Carrie had just used, even if she caught up, the janitor might not want to

talk to her.

Carrie could only drive away from the hospital.

She inferred that Mrs. Clark must be nearby to have asked the hospital janitor to pass her the note. By

checking nearby bakeries, she might locate Mrs. Clark.

Carrie must find Mrs. Clark, only then could she exact revenge on Camryn and gain some financial

support to overcome her current difficulties.

The somewhat intelligent Carrie found Mrs. Clark in a bakery near the hospital, who had just bought a

bag of bread.

Carrie got out of the car, but Mrs. Clark walked past her and in that brief moment, Mrs. Clark

whispered, “I’m being watched. I’ll contact you after I shake that person off my tail.”

Mrs. Clark then got into the car and the driver drove away.

Carrie did not dare to turn her head and went straight into the bakery to buy two random items.

Meanwhile, Zachary received a message with a photo attached.

After looking at the photo and the information, he handed the phone to Serenity, who looked at it before

glancing at him.

Zachary remained silent. He retrieved his hand and put the phone into his pocket. He then naturally

took Serenity’s hand again and playfully poked her palm. Serenity caught the hint and responded with a

look.

Seeing that Serenity understood him, Zachary's eyes sparkled with amusement.

Unable to resist, he leaned toward his beloved wife, placing a gentle kiss on her cheek.

Serenity quickly pushed him away, mindful that they were not alone in the car.

Zachary promptly straightened his back and resumed his serious expression, concealing any trace of

the man who had just shared an intimate moment with his wife.

Serenity whispered, “Drama king, Oscar winner!”

Zachary blinked at her and made a playful smile with his lips.

On the other hand, Mrs. Clark, or rather, Belinda Fisher, instructed her bodyguard in a hotel. “My flight

back to Jensburg is in three hours. You stay in Wiltspoon for now. Get in touch with Carrie Newman fornovelbin

me. Remember, you’re just one of my many bodyguards so they won’t be keeping tabs on you.

“However, stay vigilant in case they shift their focus on Carrie. Camryn might appear soft-spoken, but

she’s a shrewd woman. I suspect she had someone put Carrie on constant surveillance.

“When communicating with Carrie, ensure you remain undetected, else it might alarm them and

jeopardize my plans.

“Carrie may be impulsive and foolish, but she harbors a deep resentment toward Serenity. With a little

push, she might be of good use. Currently, what she lacks most is money. Assist her when she’s at her

lowest. During this period, just observe. There’s no need to intervene yet.

“Only when her resentment reaches boiling point, and she can’t bear it any longer, let it explode. That’s

when she’ll become our lethal weapon, solely focused on bringing down Serenity and Camryn.”

Only by abandoning personal consequences could one dare to lay hands on Serenity.
