Chapter 2600

Mark and all the other coaches knew that Julian narrowly won with that trick move of his.

A narrow victory was still a win.

Will did not lose to Julian on purpose. Julian had defeated Will with his own abilities.

Julian pulled Will up and bowed slightly. “It was a great match.”

Will smiled. “I didn’t go easy on you. You found my weakness and caught me off guard. I admit my

defeat, Julian.”

Julian returned with humble remarks.

The venue was silent, save for their post-match exchange. It snapped everyone back to their senses.

“Ahhh!”

Kai jumped in excitement. He patted Quinn’s shoulder and shouted, “We won, Quinn! Mr. Bucham

defeated Coach Will. We won! The ten thousand dollars are ours. It’ll be enough to pay for my supper

for half a year.”

All the other students turned to look at him simultaneously. Their gazes were filled with envy as they

listened to his cheers.

Quinn was stunned too. She briefly saw Julian’s moves that one time and discovered he was trained in

martial arts. Julian had admitted to it too.

She was cognizant that Julian’s skills would be on par. However, she did not expect that he would be

able to defeat Will, despite the narrow victory.

“Quinn.”

The happy Kai tapped on Quinn’s shoulder again. “Go get the money we won.”

He then ran toward Julian and hugged him. He joyfully shouted, “Mr. Bucham, wait, you’re my brother-

in-law now. I said I’d address you as such if you beat Coach Will. You’re amazing. You defeated him

and won enough money for half a year’s worth of my supper.”

Julian plucked Kai off him and said, “Didn’t you see that Will had gone easy on me? I just happened to

see an opening. He let me win because I’m a guest.”

Kai was taken aback. “Did Coach Will let you win? It didn’t seem that way to me. I saw you pinning him

to the ground. Doesn’t that count as a win?”

He had trained for several years but was not as skilled as his coaches. He did not catch Julian’s tricky

move nor see Coach Will going easy on Julian.

Soon, he smiled again and said, “How you won doesn’t matter. Quinn and I have money now.”

At that moment, Quinn walked over and shoved Kai to the back. She told Julian, “This kid is speaking

nonsense because he has gone crazy from winning the loot. You won, Julian. I was ready to lose my

money, but you surprised all of us.”

As she spoke, she punched him lightly. “You hid your skills well.”

Regardless of how Julian had won, his ability was on par with Will’s.

He could even be stronger than she was.

If she had not done anything that night in Wiltspoon, Julian must have been able to defeat the bad guys

himself too.novelbin

Julian said humbly, “Will really gave me a chance. He wants to let you win the money and experience

the taste of defeat.”

Quinn and Kai retrieved the money they had won.

Mark handed over the money to them with much reluctance. He glanced at Will and complained, “Did

you want to experience defeat after not losing for a long time, Will? You could’ve just told me. I can

fight you.

“All the money I have belongs to Quinn now. I’ll have to spend my money sparingly from now on and

wait till the next paycheck.”

Will laughed. “Who told you to bet everything you had? Didn’t you sense that Julian had been confident

all along?”

They had never seen Julian’s true skills. Even if Quinn was the only one who did, she did not see much

either. Julian was an unknown variable.

Mark said, “But you were confident from the beginning too.”
