butter her up.”
Trenton wanted to protect his family assets.
Since his parents were still alive, the only viable solution was to transfer the ownership of all their
assets to him. He would then move the assets to Camryn. He trusted her character and that she would
not embezzle anything that did not belong to her.
Camryn had no reason to do so anyway. Callum’s family was well-off, and she was his fiancée. She
probably did not need Trenton’s money.
“Cam, how much of the joint assets belong to my parents?”
Trenton recalled his parents’ illegal businesses being seized, and the profits were confiscated. He
could only inherit assets that were earned rightfully.
Camryn replied, “All their illegal earnings and businesses have been seized. Newman Enterprise isn’t
illegal. Luckily, your dad listened to others and didn’t involve the company in unlawful activities.
Newman Enterprise is clean.
“My dad was the major shareholder of Newman Enterprise, where most of his shares were given to him
by his grandparents, and some were his own. The rest of the shares were divided among your dad and
other shareholders.
“Based on the company’s current share prices and including Cain’s other properties, their total assets
should amount to a hundred million dollars.”
Cain was sentenced heavily. He joined hands with Paige to murder Abel twenty years ago and was
also involved in economic crimes.
Trenton asked again, “How much did we have before everything happened?”
“More than a billion dollars.”
Trenton had a rough estimate. He said, “You can do as I say. I’ll request a leave now and head back.
Then, I’ll look for my parents and ask them to transfer all their assets to me.”
He could not reveal to them that he would be transferring the assets to Camryn right after. They
probably hated her with every fiber of their being.
If Trenton told his parents that the assets would go to him, they would be more willing to comply.
After all, his parents had always said that all the money they earned would be given to him in the

Trenton decided to protect his family assets and prevent them from being squandered by Carrie or
siphoned by his aunts.
Camryn pressed her lips together before saying, “You’re an adult capable of making your own
decisions. Also, if you have spare time, you should intern at the company for some work experience.
Newman Enterprise has a factory that isn’t doing very well in the city where you’re studying now.
“If you’re up for a challenge, I’ll hand over its management to you. You can study while managing the

Trenton accepted the challenge.
However, he did not like Camryn talking as if they were from two separate families.
He said, “We’re one big family, Cam. We share the same grandparents. The assets our grandparents
and great-grandparents accumulated have grown to this scale through many generations of effort. We
have to protect everything that belongs to our family together.”
Their grandparents had assigned most of their assets to Abel. Trenton did not wish to find out the
reason behind it. His grandparents must have had their considerations.
While his father had contributed to expanding the Newmans’ assets, he could not have achieved it
without a solid foundation that was already established.
