to the security room.
The other guard brought three chairs and offered them to Carrie and her companions.
Though these guards were accommodating, Carrie was still dissatisfied. She chose not to sit and said,
“No need for all this trouble. I’ll just head inside and find Camryn... my sister. I’ve been away from home
for almost half a year, and when I got out, oh, I mean, when I got back, I discovered that she had gotten
engaged to Callum. I was completely unaware.
“Since I’m here, I should meet my in-laws, especially my future brother-in-law.”
Not only did Carrie want to compete with Camryn for the family’s wealth, but she also aimed to
