Chapter 2539

After Sonny spoke, he looked toward Zachary and asked, “Are you angry, Uncle Zak? That Aunt Ser

doesn’t have a baby girl.”

Zachary sat on the sofa with Sonny on his lap.

He answered the boy’s question after Serenity sat beside him.

“I’m not angry. Although I yearn for daughters, a son doesn’t sound bad either. It’ll be great if Serenity

gives birth to an adorable son like you.”

Actually, Zachary had little hope. It was only when they had their future told by Grandma May’s psychic

that they started betting on having a daughter.

Serenity also said that the baby’s gender did not matter. They only got pregnant after trying for a year.novelbin

The baby would be precious regardless.

Sonny sighed in relief.

He slid down Zachary’s thighs and went to Liberty. He said, “Uncle Zak and Aunt Ser aren’t angry at

me, Mom. You shouldn’t tell me to lie anymore.”

Everyone laughed.

Liberty blushed as she grinned.

She lightly pinched her son’s face and said, “Go play outside, but don’t go too far.”

Sonny pouted. “It’s not fun playing alone. Come with me, Mom.”

“I want to talk to Serenity. Go and play on your own.”

Sonny refused to budge. Wildridge Manor was fun, but it was not exciting to explore on his own.

Zachary smiled, “Rowan is on his break this weekend. He should be up by now. You can look for him or

ask the butler to call your playmates over to have fun at the playground.”

Many of the York family’s employees had children.

However, they would not impose by letting their children use the manor’s playground. Even if their

employers were kindhearted, they would not do so without an invitation.

Only when Sonny came over that the butler allowed the employees’ children to enter the manor and

play with Sonny at the playground for several days.

If Rowan and Grandma May were at home, they would also allow the children into the compound to

play. However, the butler reminded them to stay within the playground and not wander off because

otherwise, the owner would get angry.

The employees would remind their children the same.

Upon hearing Rowan was home, Sonny said immediately, “I’ll look for Row.”

Rowan was a teenager. Although he did not play the same games as a three-year-old, he was still

willing to spend time with Sonny. Sonny loved to play with Rowan.

Zachary requested the butler to take Sonny to Rowan’s place.

With Rowan accompanying Sonny, the adults could talk freely.

Sonny ran outside.

Zachary looked toward Duncan and said, “You haven’t been here for a long time. You should come

over with Liberty more often.”

Tania added, “You, Zack, and Josh are best friends, but you three haven’t been hanging out much. You

should keep in touch more.”

Everyone knew Duncan rarely traveled to the manor anymore as he had difficulty walking.

He was worried he would affect everyone’s mood with his presence. They would also have to take care

of him.
