Chapter 2540

Duncan smiled. “I’ve been busy.

“You and Serenity are on your honeymoon too. I didn’t want to disturb you guys.”

Although Zachary and Serenity did not travel overseas for their honeymoon and settled with a drive

within Wiltspoon, he wanted to refrain from intruding on their time.

If he and Liberty were to get married, he too would prefer some uninterrupted time during their

honeymoon. He would want to travel with his wife and watch the sunset or sunrise. Those kinds of days

sounded amazing.

After the butler had taken Sonny to Rowan, he saw Josh and Jasmine while on his way back. He

entered the main house and informed Zachary, “Mr. Bucham is here, Mr. Zachary.”

Tania beamed. “Speak of the devil.”

Serenity continued, “Luckily we weren’t badmouthing him.”

Everyone burst out laughing.

Josh entered the house with Jasmine. He brought gifts too.

“Jas.”

Serenity waved at her best friend when she spotted her.

Zachary got up and walked to Josh. He accepted the gifts from Josh and said, “It’s not your first time

here anyway. Why did you buy so many things again?”

Josh said, “We didn’t buy these supplements. They were given to Jasmine by our friends and family,

but there’s only so much she can eat. That’s why we brought some here, hoping Serenity could share

some of Jasmine’s load.

“My cousin doesn’t let Jasmine eat much of the supplements. She said having three meals a day based

on the recipes she designed would be enough to supply the nutrients Jasmine and the baby need. An

overconsumption of supplements might cause the opposite of the intended effect.”

Josh respected and trusted Theresa, who was acting as their dietician.

That being said, she might have been too controlling sometimes. Jasmine never said anything about it

because she did not want to ruin Josh and Theresa’s relationship.

Nevertheless, nothing in the family escaped Josh’s eyes and ears when he could find out other

families’ affairs if he wanted to.

He had asked his mother to relay the message to Theresa several times. Now that Theresa was more

lenient, Jasmine had more freedom at home.

Once Serenity heard those gifts were supplements, she smiled bitterly. “I was thinking of sending some

of mine to you. It seems like you were one step ahead.”

Serenity had taken care of Liberty during her pregnancy and postpartum period. She also helped

Liberty raise Sonny. Hence, she was more experienced than Jasmine and Alice.

Echoing Theresa, there was no need for excessive supplementation during pregnancy. Eating three

meals a day and not being picky would suffice.

Serenity would only take some supplements occasionally and she would be selective about them too.

Her meals were enough to supply the nutrition she needed.

Jasmine was further along in her pregnancy than Serenity. Her belly swelled slightly. However, she

looked as if she had just gained some weight because of the loose clothing she wore.

Since it was rare for Josh to see Duncan around, he slapped Duncan’s arm after putting the gifts down.

He said, “You’d rather hide at home than come out to meet us. We may be brothers, but if we don’tnovelbin

meet up and stay in touch, we might turn into strangers.”

Duncan quickly said, “Yes. I was wrong. I’ll ask you two out for drinks when I’m free. When that time

comes, you better not give me the excuse that your wife bans you from drinking.”

“I can drink during our meetups. I just have to bathe and eat some candies after going home. I guess

Jasmine won’t have me sleep in the study. Will Serenity do that to you, Zachary?”
