Chapter 2475

Half an hour later, Mrs. Clark brought Carrie to a motel.

It was a small, mediocre motel. Although Carrie did not say anything, she mentally complained that

Mrs. Clark was stingy for not giving her a room in a five-star hotel.

Mrs. Clark booked a room for Carrie before ordering someone to bring a bag from the car and pass it to

Carrie. She said, “These are new clothes. You can come back down here after bathing and changing.

I’ll take you out for a meal.”

Carrie accepted the bag and went to her room upstairs.

Despite having spent some time in prison, the haughty nature she had from growing up in a privileged

environment remained. She hated the motel.

Carrie did not take a long time to wash up. She changed into the clothes Mrs. Clark had prepared for

her after a quick shower. Then, she blew her hair dry and stared at her reflection in the mirror for some

time before combing her hair.

She had lost a lot of weight. However, she still looked beautiful as she was young.

“I won’t let this slide, Camryn, Serenity.”

Carrie swore in front of the mirror, “I’ll return everything to you tenfold.”

Not long after, she went downstairs where

Mrs. Clark was waiting for her on the first floor. She did not say anything when she saw Carrie. She

simply got up and said, “Let’s go and eat.”

“You can continue staying in the room if you wish, otherwise, you can check out.”

“Thank you for the clothes, Mrs. Clark. I won’t be staying here. I want to return to the Newmans’ villa.

That’s my home. That blind girl can’t possibly chase me out.”

Carrie was eager to go back and give Camryn a hard time.

Mrs. Clark observed her silently.

After exiting the motel, they got into Mrs. Clark’s car. The place they went to was not classy at all. It

was a regular diner. They placed their orders.

While waiting for the food, Mrs. Clark said, “Don’t blame me for being stingy, Ms. Carrie. I didn’t take

you to a high-end restaurant because you were just released from prison. Since it was an early release,

no one knows you’ve regained your freedom yet.

“You should keep a low profile to prevent others from finding out. That way, you can catch them off

guard.”

Carrie thought Mrs. Clark had a point. Her expression mellowed. She said, “Thank you for being so

thoughtful.

“I’m happy enough to be able to roam freely again. I’m not picky about my food and accommodation

anymore.”

She used to live in a villa and enjoyed all sorts of luxuries as a young lady of the Newmans. Even when

she was in a bad mood, she could prank her sister as entertainment. Her days were carefree back

then, which made her a picky person.

Nevertheless, such good treatment did not exist in prison. She had suffered a lot.novelbin

After spending some time there, her unreasonable and demanding personality was long gone.

She was fortunate to have been released.

Compared to her parents, her sentence was light.

Mrs. Clark nodded in satisfaction. She said, “You’ve matured and changed a lot, Ms. Carrie.”
