Chapter 2457

Hayden pushed his hand away and said, “I don’t want anything, you don’t have to give me gifts.”

The gifts he gave were all things that girls would like.

Even though she was a woman, she did not care for girly gifts.

“I won’t give you gifts then. How about you gift me something, Hay? I rarely receive gifts from you.”

Kevin followed closely behind Hayden, walking with a big smile on his face. “If you give me a gift, no

matter what it is, I’ll like it.”

Hayden could not be bothered to respond to him.

Zachary and Serenity watched from the pavilion as the two of them walked one after the other. Serenity

smiled and said, “They’re quite lively.

“Kevin talks a lot, while Hayden is more reserved. When they’re together, they really complement each

other.”

Grandma May had chosen their spouses based on their personalities. As long as they spent some time

together, they would gradually fall in love with each other.

Zachary embraced Serenity as she leaned on him.

The couple gazed into the distance together.

Happy times passed in the blink of an eye.

Everyone got back into the swing of things after the weekend; the adults went to work, and the children

went to school.

In the twinkling of an eye, half a month had passed.

At the Stone’s residence, Remy, who had tagged along for breakfast, walked out of the dining area with

Elisa.

Darell and Audrey were early risers. They had already finished their breakfast and gone for a walk.

The house was quiet.

Elisa, who had just had her fill, did not want to leave too early. She then walked to sit on the couch in

the living area, and told Remy, “We’ll go to work after we have a short rest. Do you plan to have a

meeting this morning? If you do, you can go first, I’m not in a hurry.”

“I told my secretary that I’ll only have meetings after ten. There won’t be any meetings before nine from

now on, as I’m afraid I might not make it in time.”

Remy walked over, sat beside her, and gently asked, “Do you want some fruits?”

“Nope, I just had breakfast, I don’t have any room left for fruits.”

The breakfast she had was also served with some fruits.

Elisa habitually picked up her phone and was going to scroll through her socials. As she caught a

glance of the time on her screen, she looked upstairs and asked Remy, “We haven’t seen my sister-in-

law today, right?”

“She hasn’t come downstairs yet, maybe she’s still sound asleep.”

Alice was delivering soon. She could not sleep well at night, always tossing and turning on the bed.

As Clive looked at his beloved wife’s ever-expanding belly, he was filled with worry and anxiety that one

day her belly might burst from being too big.novelbin

The only improvement was that although Alice still experienced nausea, she only vomited once after

dinner, unlike before when she would vomit after every meal.

“I’ll go take a look upstairs.”

Elisa got up.

Remy’s eyes followed Elisa upstairs. As a man, he felt awkward following Elisa to Alice’s room.

Soon after, Elisa was at the doorstep of Clive’s room. She knocked on the door and asked, “Are you

awake, Alice?”

After a moment, Alice’s voice rang from the room.

Only after a few minutes since her initial response, Alice went to open the door.

“Alice.”
