Chapter 2454
Her abilities are not too shabby either. At least before Alvin emerged, everyone within the Daniels
family believed that Jenna would be the successor to the group.
“Zachary, take a look at this news article.”
Serenity handed her phone to Zachary.
Zachary corrected her, “Call me ‘honey’. When you call me by my name, I always get nervous, fearing
that you’re going to scold me for doing something wrong.”
With that said, he took the phone from her and asked while looking at it, “What news?”
After glancing at it for a moment, Zachary returned the phone to his wife. His expression lightened as
he said, “What’s so interesting about her news? I’ve said it before, the one who can handle her is her
father. We don’t need to intervene. Her father will take care of her.”
If Mr. Daniels could not handle Jenna, letting Zachary step in would surely harm the Daniels Group.
Zachary would not have mercy on those who tried to disrupt his marriage.
As for that person living in the same residential area as him, he could not even remember her name
because he did not know her at all. He had no idea when she had seen him let alone admired him.
Sometimes, Zachary felt like he was unfairly treated. He never pursued any of those women. It was
them who took an interest in him.
Could he control their feelings?
The only thing he could control was his feelings toward others, and he had given his heart to Serenity.
For the rest of his life, he would only be Serenity’s man. There was absolutely no room for any other
women. All their efforts would be in vain.
“Is Alvin Mr. Daniels’s nephew?”novelbin
“Yes, it’s his elder brother’s son and also his eldest nephew. Alvin is a cunning man and his capabilities
are no less than Jenna, the right-hand woman of the company.
“Before Jenna worked for the company, everyone in the Daniels Group believed that Edwin was
nurturing his nephew to be the successor.”
Zachary added, “Jenna is capable. Naturally, Edwin would want his own flesh and blood to take over.
However, if Jenna wasn’t capable of leading the Daniels Group to glory and instead became a burden
to the group, he would give up the notion of letting his daughter succeed and opt for his nephew to take
the reins.
“Alvin is ambitious. He was once without hope and direction, but ever since Jenna crossed the line,
Alvin seized the opportunity. Those photos that we got were not all Josh’s contributions. It was also
thanks to Alvin’s help in the shadows. Alvin wanted to see Jenna being abandoned by Edwin more than
anything else.”
The Daniels Group was vast, and so was Edwin’s wealth. Who would not aspire to be at the helm of
this illustrious group?
Becoming the head of the Daniels Group would mean controlling the financial lifeline of the entire
family. Just manage it well and let wealth flow abundantly. It was certainly an enviable position and a
desirable situation to be in.
“How’s that woman doing? Whatever her name was.”
Serenity knew Jenna’s recent circumstances through the news.
She had forgotten about the person who had secretly supported Jenna. Although she had warned the
other party when she came to confront her, she really did not care about her. Now, she had even
forgotten the other person’s last name.
Zachary coldly chuckled, “She can support Jenna all she wants, but it's nothing more than her pride in
her wealth. Only with such wealth can she live in the same villa area as us. I didn’t do much, just made
her gradually lose everything she had.
“Seren, you don’t need to worry about what they are doing. Anyone who dares to destroy our marriage
is asking for trouble. If it weren’t for the fact that killing is illegal, I would have taken care of them a long
time ago. I wouldn’t tolerate them coming to you, acting all arrogant.”
“Murder is punishable by death! Don’t you dare try anything illegal, it’s not worth it.”
Serenity nagged him.
She did not want her man to be like certain novel protagonists who could get away with breaking the
law, regardless of their status or connections. She also did not want her man to abuse his power and
engage in illegal activities.
It was not worth it.
Living an honest life as a legitimate businessman would weigh less on their conscience.
