Meanwhile at Wildridge Manor, Serenity returned to her room. The wedding decorations were still up.
Although it felt as if a long time had passed, returning to the room reminded her that it had only been
half a day since her wedding.

A larger hand held hers. Zachary opened his eyes and said, “Since you enjoy touching my face, you
should reward me with a kiss.”
“Were you pretending to be asleep to trick me?”
Zachary smiled. “You came in when I just woke up, so I laid back down to see if you’d steal a kiss.”
Serenity grinned too. “You’re my husband. I can kiss my man whenever I want to. Why do I have to do
it in secret?”
“Do it then. You fell asleep without giving me a kiss on our wedding night yesterday.”
Since Serenity was in her early pregnancy, they did nothing on their wedding night. It was torture for
Zachary, but he had no choice but to hold himself back.
Serenity pinched his face. “You were the one who told me to sleep. Now you’re blaming me for not
kissing you. I’ve kissed you so many times throughout the year.”
“That was in the past. We had our wedding yesterday. Honey, come here. Kiss me now.”
Zachary became clingy and kept pestering Serenity to peck him on the lips.
They had been a loving couple who had kissed each other countless times. While Serenity was already
used to it and no longer felt embarrassed, she suddenly blushed and hesitated at that moment.
He was looking at her with a boyish and shameless grin.
The next moment, Serenity covered his eyes and sealed his lips with hers.

“Honey, I’ve never seen you blush in a long time. It has always been me who blushed whenever you
teased me. I thought you were immune. However, I realized that you only seemed strong on the
outside when in reality, you aren’t any better than me. You got so dumbfounded when I teased you
back.”
Serenity said, “Are you satisfied? Get up. It’s almost lunchtime now. You’ve been sleeping for too long.”
“It’s a rare day of rest. I’ve been busy and exhausted lately.”
