Chapter 2431

“Go on, Nana. I’ll have a stroll outside later too.”

The good thing about marriage leave was it granted Serenity and Zachary from waking up early to work

or bother with work. All they needed to do was rest and eat well.novelbin

Grandma May said with a smile, “We can enjoy a nice walk together after my breakfast.”

Serenity happily agreed and Grandma May went out.

By the time Zachary and Serenity had their fill, Grandma May returned from outside.

As Serenity waited for Grandma May to have her breakfast, Sonny fell asleep in her arms.

“The boy just woke up, and now he’s asleep again.”

Serenity caressed Sonny’s face lovingly and said, “The last two days must have been tiring on him.”

“Since he’s asleep, I’ll carry him upstairs to rest. You can go for a walk with Nana. I’m not going. I’m

going to enjoy my time in bed with Sonny,” Zachary said.

He went to bed early last night but was too excited to fall asleep. It took a while before the sandman

took him away, and he woke up early this morning to make breakfast for his wife.

He had been busy with the wedding in the past few days. Now that the wedding was over, he needed

to catch up on sleep.

“Okay. Get some rest. I’ve had enough of it.”

Zachary stood up and carefully took Sonny from Serenity before heading upstairs.

Grandma May dined quickly and soon came out of the dining room.

Serenity got up to help Grandma May.

“Seren, I’m not so old that I can’t take care of myself.”

Grandma May took Serenity’s hand with a smile, not for Serenity’s assistance to move around the

place, but for them to sit down on the sofa together.

“Where are Zack and Sonny?”

Seeing that Zachary was not around, Grandma May asked, “Weren’t they with you? Did they go out?”

She did not hear the child’s laughter.

Every time Sonny came to Wildridge Manor, he enjoyed himself at the playground. He would be there

for the whole day. The playground would be filled with the child’s laughter whenever Sonny visited, and

Grandma May loved it.

It reminded her of when her grandsons were young and the lively times when they played together. She

would be comforted to see the older boys caring for the younger ones.

Her nine grandsons did not share the same mother and were just cousins, but Grandma May raised

and instilled values in them to be closer than brothers.

Nothing could take away Zachary’s position as the oldest among the cousins.

There had to be a leader in the group.

As the eldest, Zachary was the leader of the boys.

“Sonny must have been tired the past two days. He went back to bed after breakfast. Zachary carried

him upstairs so that he could sleep. He’s going to catch up on sleep too.”

The person who was most tired was probably Zachary. He was busy with the wedding planning and

took time to care for her. He cared enough to make time for her.

Grandma May said with a smile, “We should let them sleep the whole day. It’s not just them, but

everybody is exhausted. Thank goodness it’s the weekend. They have the next two days to rest and

recharge.”
