Chapter 2429
Sonny immediately shook his head. “No. I don’t want to go back with you tomorrow. Mom will send me
to school.”
Serenity was speechless.novelbin
She reminded Sonny, “It’s Saturday tomorrow. You don’t have to go to school even if you go home.
How much do you dread going to preschool, Sonny?
“You were so happy when you first started. Do you dislike it after just a month?”
Sonny pouted and whispered, “I don’t hate it. I just think it’s much more fun staying at home.”
“You’ll get scolded if your mom hears that. You should work hard and play hard.”
Sonny lowered his head and replied, “I know, Aunt Ser. Mom said the same thing. I’ll be hardworking in
school and be better than Laurence. I’ll also play hard when it’s time to have fun.
“Will you take me to Laurence when the next holiday comes, Aunt Ser?”
Sonny missed his playmate.
“The next break will be in winter. You have to study hard. When winter break comes, I'll take you to FC
Manor if I don’t become too bulky by then. Laurence will be spending the break at FC Manor. You can
play with him again.
“But you must study hard. Otherwise, you’ll get upset when you find out Laurence is better than you in
every aspect again.”
Sonny nodded solemnly.
In order to meet his playmate during winter break, Sonny aimed to be on par with Laurence instead of
beating him. He would put more effort into going to school and studying.
“Wait for me here. I’m going to change my clothes and wash up. We can have breakfast downstairs
after that. Zachary’s breakfasts have been improving.”
“Okay,” Sonny replied happily.
Serenity brought her clothes into the bathroom. She exited after washing up and changing out of her
pajamas.
Sonny jumped off the bed and walked over. He complimented her, “Your dress is very pretty, Aunt Ser.”
“Which is prettier, the dress or me?”
“You’re beautiful, but you look even prettier in this dress.”
Serenity pinched Sonny’s cheek and said, “You’re so slick. You’ll be such a ladies’ man when you’re
older.”
Zachary happened to overhear Serenity’s words when he entered the room. He asked, “What did
Sonny do? I guess it’s better to be good at coaxing girls than being clueless. If he isn’t good at it, you
and Liberty might have to worry about his future.”
Serenity laughed. “You’re right. At least we don’t have to worry about him courting a girl if he’s a
smooth-talker.”
“What’s ‘courting’? Why do I have to court a girl, Aunt Ser? Does it require me to speak well? I’m good
at speaking.”
Sonny did not know what “courting” meant and asked innocently.
Serenity said, “You’re still young and won’t get it even if I tell you. You’ll find out when you get older.”
However, Zachary added, “It’s exactly how Duncan treats your mother now. He’s courting her.”
Sonny was confused.
“He’s still a kid. How would he know anything? Using Liberty and Mr. Lewis as an example won’t help.”
“We should answer his question regardless of whether he understands it. If we avoid answering his
questions whenever he has one, it’ll dampen his enthusiasm and stop him from asking questions in the
future.
“Small things in life will affect his attitude toward studying too. He might be reluctant to pose questions
when he moves on to elementary or middle school even when he doesn’t understand a subject. It’s
something none of us wish to see.”
Serenity said, “I didn’t think that far.”
She admitted she was not as far-sighted as Zachary.
“You seem well-versed in matters related to education, babe. I shall leave educating our child to you.”
