Chapter 2428

It was morning when Serenity finally woke up.

She thought the sun had not set before looking at the time only to realize that she slept through the

night when she saw her phone screen.

On the other hand, Zachary was already awake. She knew he was preparing breakfast for her

downstairs.

Serenity was hungry after having slept for so long but feeling recharged from the sufficient rest she

had.

When she was about to get up, she noticed someone lying at the end of the bed.

It was Sonny.

Serenity was dumbfounded. Why was the little guy in her room?

He had changed out of his suit and was sleeping without a blanket on. She guessed he might have

entered after Zachary woke up earlier and probably fell asleep while waiting for her.

Serenity went to the edge of the bed to shift Sonny into a more comfortable sleeping position. However,

he opened his eyes the moment she lifted her.

When he saw Serenity, he said softly, “Aunt Ser.”

Then, he hugged her with both hands.

“Do you want to sleep in?” Serenity asked.

“No. I’m awake now. I came to see you because I missed you. Uncle Zak said you were still sleeping

and told me to wait here. I think I fell asleep while doing that.”

Sonny then slid down from her arms and asked, “Is sleepiness contagious, Aunt Ser?”

Serenity laughed. “Maybe. Did you go to bed late last night?”

Sonny scratched his head embarrassedly. He said, “I don’t know what time I slept. I remember climbingnovelbin

onto Uncle Kevin’s lap. He was holding me. I don’t remember anything after that.”

He was already on the bed when he awoke.

Although Sonny visited Wildridge Manor regularly, he instinctively looked for Serenity when he could

not find Liberty after waking up.

When he knocked on the door, it was Uncle Zak who answered.

Uncle Zak said he was going to prepare breakfast for Aunt Ser. He was also told to wait for Aunt Ser to

get up without waking her.

Serenity smiled. “You didn’t even know when you fell asleep.”

“Are you still tired, Aunt Ser? Do you need more sleep?”

“I’m not tired anymore. I’m getting out of bed now. You can sleep in my room if you want to. It’s still

early.”

It was only seven in the morning. Most working adults were not even up yet.

Serenity was used to waking up early.

“I’m not sleeping. When are we going home, Aunt Ser?”

Liberty did not stay over at the manor. On the other hand, Sonny stayed the night because he was the

page boy.

“Do you miss your mom?”

Sonny nodded.

Serenity said, “I’m only returning tomorrow. You have to be here with me for another day then. Shall I

get someone to take you back now?”
