“Jasmine thinks her baby is a boy. I think ours is a boy too. Maybe our children are fated to be brothers,
just like you and Josh.”
“That’s not bad.”
As much as Zachary would love to have a daughter, he was happy enough to have a child at all with
Serenity, regardless of the child’s gender as it was not easy for her to conceive.
“You’re right, babe. Not bad at all. Anyway, I’m going to bathe now.”
“Don’t fall asleep. I’ll wait for you for fifteen minutes and if you’re not out by then, I’ll go in.”
Serenity was speechless. No matter how tired she was, she would never fall asleep in the tub.

Zachary immediately lifted her in his arms.

Zachary walked to the bedside and lowered her gently onto the bed. He planted a soft kiss on her
forehead and said, “Sleep.”
“Don’t drink too much. Come back earlier.”
Zachary looked at the time. “I’ll be back when the sky turns dark. Don’t worry. I won’t get drunk. I need
to be up early to prepare you breakfast tomorrow morning.”
“Actually, there’s no need for you to do that. You must be tired from today. I bet you didn’t sleep well
last night either. You should rest more.”
“But you love my cooking. Since we’re on our marriage leave, I’ll be your chef for a month. After that,
we can go on a drive around Wiltspoon.”
Serenity shook her head upon thinking about how her lower abdomen would hurt whenever she sat in a
car or walked for long hours. She said, “I think I should stay home and rest. Although I’m healthy, it’s
different when I’m pregnant. I feel slight pain whenever I walk too much.
“I should be more careful since this baby didn’t come to us easily, especially during my first trimester.

Zachary grew nervous. He asked, “You were up and about the entire day today. How do you feel? Does
your stomach hurt now? You never told me about this.”
“I’m not in pain now. I said it only happens when I walk too much or I’m too tired.”
Serenity did not have to walk around in the company anyway. Elisa had taken all the business trips
upon herself while Serenity and Jasmine, who were pregnant, stayed behind to run the company.novelbin
