Chapter 2423

Hayden looked at Kevin. “Are you still returning to Jensburg after Zachary’s wedding?”

“Of course I have to be where you are unless you’re staying with me in Wiltspoon.”

Hayden said, “You have so much free time.”

“I’ve been helping Zachary manage the family business since I graduated. He put me in charge of the

F&B industry because I’m picky and good at cooking. In his words, if Wiltspoon Hotel’s food couldn’t

satisfy me, it wouldn’t satisfy our customers too.

“It’s been about ten years since I’ve taken over York Corporation’s F&B businesses. I’m good at my job.

Even if I’m not in Wiltspoon, all hotels can operate without a hitch. Besides, every hotel has a

managing director and a few deputy directors. I only have to handle crucial matters.

“I can choose to live in Jensburg long-term, and nothing will be affected. To me, not being kicked out by

Nana is more important.”

Hayden had heard him mentioning that Grandma May would chase him out of the house if he could not

win her heart.

Curious, she asked, “Will your nana really stop you from coming home? She’s such an open-minded

lady. I think she’s just scaring you guys.

“She’s making empty threats so all of you will do as she says because she knows you are filial. No

offense, Kevin, but I think she’s too bossy to arrange your marriages. A marriage where two individuals

are forcefully brought together won’t last. Yet, Grandma May still set you all up with potential marriage

candidates, all of whom you have never met before.

“You and your brothers might marry the chosen girl despite not loving her, out of respect for Grandma

May. Isn’t she worried about you all being unhappy for the rest of your lives?”

Kevin did not get angry. He said, “Nana may seem authoritative, but she’s doing this for our own good.

She understands us the best.

“We’re all inexperienced in love. Even if we liked someone when we were younger, it was just puppy

love and a youthful phase of our lives. After we graduated from college, we forgot everything about it.

That was why Nana dared to choose our significant others based on our personalities.

“She gave us a year and declared that she wouldn’t allow us to return home if we didn’t complete our

missions. It was meant to scare us, but she was serious about the one-year deadline. If we can’t

develop mutual feelings with the girl chosen for us, it means that we’re incompatible.

“If that were to happen, Nana would give up and not force us to marry a woman we don’t love. She’s

not worried about us being unhappy after marriage. She simply doesn’t want to harm someone else’s

daughter.novelbin

“The pairing that Nana had been most insistent about was Zachary and Serenity. Luckily, she made the

right call. The wedding today is a testament to that. A psychic once said that Zachary would only have

one chance at love. He would be single for the rest of his life if he didn't grab the opportunity. He was

Nana’s favorite grandson. Even before Gramps passed, he worried Zachary would stay single forever.

“Nana gave all of us a chance. On the other hand, Zachary and Serenity had to get married

immediately and only fell in love afterward.

“Have you seen how much I disliked you at first? I kept complaining because Nana matched me to a

man, yet I still fell in love with you.”

Kevin went on and on.

Hayden smiled. “I understand now.”

“Hayden, my nana is the best in the entire world. You’ll understand the sincerity behind my words after

you spend more time with her.”

“Grandma May has a good reputation and is well-liked.”

Hayden acknowledged Grandma May’s character.
