Chapter 2422

“Yeah. We’re back. We arrived with Serenity right when the rain stopped. No one expected it to pour

because it was so sunny just before. The elders believe a rainy wedding day signifies cleansing and

fertility.”

Hayden smiled. “I didn’t know rain was meaningful on a wedding day.”

“It’s an old saying anyway. I think it’s just a coincidence. The weather is unpredictable.”

Kevin handed the bouquet to Hayden and said, “I caught the bouquet. I hope it’s true that whoever

catches this bouquet will be the next to marry.

“This is for you, Hayden. I hope we’ll be blessed like Zachary and Serenity.”

Hayden hesitated before accepting the bouquet. She said, “The rumors about us will be a hot topic

again if you were seen giving the bouquet to me.”

“They can say whatever they want. It’s fine as long as you know I’m straight.”

Hayden said instinctively, “Well, I can’t be sure. Who knows if you have a similar condition as Mr.

Bucham?”

“I can let you verify if I am healthy to ensure you’ll be satisfied for the rest of your life.”

Hayden was speechless.

She chose the wrong topic.

Luckily, Kevin did not dwell on that as he was afraid she would blush.

He asked, “Why are you here alone?”

“I was admiring the scenery around your house. I don’t like being around others, so I came alone.”

Everyone in the Queen family was present for Zachary’s wedding. Hayden did not bring her personal

bodyguards with her. She believed nothing would happen to her with Kevin around.

The York family could ensure the safety of their guests within their territory.

“You’ll find this place breathtaking at first, but it’ll soon look normal after living here for a long period.

The young ones like us prefer to stay outside.”

Kevin held Hayden’s hand and said with a smile, “But I’m happy you like it here. We can stay in the

manor if that’s what you prefer. Although I like living outside, I admit that life in the manor is more

peaceful and relaxed.”

The younger generation preferred living on their own because they would be far away from the elders'

watchful eyes.

It was also more convenient for them to go to work. After all, the manor was quite a distance from the

city center.

“Since Serenity has arrived, the banquet will begin soon. We should return.”

Hayden withdrew her hand from Kevin’s grasp. “Okay.”

Kevin took her hand in his again. He said, “We’re already a couple in others’ eyes anyway. What’s

wrong with us holding hands?”

Hayden was rendered speechless. There was blame in her gaze.

“Don’t look at me like that, Hayden. I won’t be able to stop myself from kissing you. I don’t mind ifnovelbin

someone sees us, but you get embarrassed easily. What if you start ignoring me after we return to

Jensburg?”

Winning Hayden’s heart had been a difficult journey.

Even Mr. Bucham was able to invite Ms. Crawford to Zachary’s wedding shortly after finding her, which

was quick.

Kevin admitted that he was slow to act. He had only started wooing Hayden six months after receiving

her photo from Grandma May at the start of the year. Now, the year was almost over, yet Hayden had

not revealed her identity as a woman.

It implied that Hayden was still uncertain about their future and she might not get married to him.

Her feelings for him had also just budded, far from it being a deep love yet.
