Chapter 2404

Serenity and Sonny whispered to each other their complaints about Liberty being too scary as they

walked.

Liberty, who overheard them from behind, was speechless.

She was like a mother figure to Serenity. She wanted to marry Serenity off extravagantly.

“Missus.”

The makeup artist Zachary hired stood and greeted Serenity with a smile when she saw her walking

down the stairs.

Serenity returned a smile. “Good morning, Ms. Gardner. Sorry to have made you wait. I woke up late

this morning as I had gone to bed late last night.”

“I didn’t wait long. Go ahead and have your breakfast. Then, we can start after you have a short rest.”

Most people were not yet aware of Serenity being pregnant. As Ms. Gardner was the makeup artist,

Zachary had disclosed Serenity’s pregnancy to her. He also reminded her to use skincare that was

harmless for pregnant women.

“Let’s eat together, Ms. Gardner.”novelbin

Ms. Gardner refused politely, “I’ve eaten before coming over.”

As she was a seasoned bridal makeup artist, she always had to depart early from her home and would

have an early breakfast prior.

Serenity looked at the time. It was not even seven in the morning yet. “You had your breakfast this

early?”

“Yes. I always eat breakfast early because I must head out early too.”

She would only eat something at her employer’s house when she could not have her food in time.

Since Ms. Gardner had already eaten, Serenity told the maids to attend to her before bringing Sonny to

the dining area.

Liberty’s house had been bustling since yesterday.

Zachary had reassigned some Wildridge Manor employees to help at Liberty’s house. Audrey too, as

she was worried Liberty would be exhausted from being understaffed.

Duncan was unwilling to fall behind. Not only did he reassign his employees from his private villa, but

from the Lewises’ residence as well.

Liberty just had to be a commander, and everything would be done by someone else.

Elisa, who was Serenity’s bridesmaid, was already at the dining area.

A few other elite ladies were invited to be Serenity’s bridesmaids as well.

Elisa bumped into them at the villa’s entrance, so they all entered together.

The bridesmaids’ dresses were all kept at Liberty’s house. They were supposed to change into their

dresses on the wedding day and put on makeup by themselves.

Meanwhile, in the Hunts’ hometown, the entire family was gathered in Old Mr. and Mrs. Hunt’s house. It

was part of the inheritance left by Serenity and Liberty’s parents that the sisters had managed to

recover.

If Old Mr. and Mrs. Hunt were to pass away, the house would be handed over to Serenity and Liberty.

The rest of the Hunts were willing to give up on inheriting Old Mr. and Mrs. Hunt's assets.

Serenity and Liberty no longer lacked a place to stay. However, the house in question was built by their

parents, and it held their memories as a family. They could still recall scenes from when their parents

were alive whenever they returned.

It was a place where Serenity and Liberty could reminisce. They wanted to protect the remnants of their

parents’ presence in the house.

Although they would not be living in the house permanently, they would have somewhere to stay if they

visited their hometown in the future. It would mean that they still had a home to return to.

“Say something, Granddad. Are we attending Serenity’s wedding?” Mike asked.

Before the old man could speak, Noah chimed in, “Granddad and Grandmom can go because Serenity

won’t chase them back. You, on the other hand, might be kicked out of the venue if you were to go.”

Mike glared at his youngest cousin and said, “We’re her family.”
