Chapter 2405

Noah continued, “But Serenity doesn’t need our support.”

They thought time had dissipated Serenity’s anger since their last conflict was long ago. They wanted

to mend their relationship with the sisters through the wedding.

By doing so, they would be able to gain some benefits just by being related to the Yorks.

The Hunts wanted to restore their family to its former glory.

Everyone looked toward Old Mr. Hunt, awaiting his decision. If not for Serenity and Liberty having some

respect left for him, they would have gone to the wedding without his approval.

Word of Zachary and Serenity’s wedding had been made known to everyone in Wiltspoon through the

entertainment news.

It was definitely going to be the wedding of the century.

The Hunts wished to witness such a grand event.

Serenity’s aunts and uncles wanted to attend the wedding for the delicacies. They even thought of

packing up the leftovers to bring home.

Since Serenity and Liberty could not care less about them, they did not have to worry about being

embarrassed. Anything could come after eating and packing the food.

The sisters were too cruel. The Hunts had been greatly affected by the previous incident and have yet

to recover.

That being said, Serenity and Liberty had shown them mercy by not letting them go bankrupt or split up

the family.

“What do you think?” Old Mrs. Hunt asked her husband.

After some thinking and smoking, Old Mr. Hunt said, “Since Serenity didn’t invite us, no one should go

to the wedding. She doesn’t want to make amends with us.”

Serenity was obliged by law to let Old Mr. and Mrs. Hunt stay in the house and provide for them. It was

also her way of repaying them for their help.

However, that did not mean she and Liberty had forgiven them.

It would not be right to say that they were petty either.

One should not judge a man until they have walked a mile in his shoes.

The pain that Serenity and Liberty had gone through could not be resolved with mere words. Theynovelbin

could never forget their grief upon losing their parents and despair when they were chased out of the

family.

Old Mr. Hunt regretted his past actions deeply.

He especially felt that way when he and his wife needed their children to care for them. Despite being

rich, their children would push away their responsibilities and be unwilling to provide them with basic

living expenses. Not even one room in their children’s luxurious houses was reserved for them.

Old Mr. and Mrs. Hunt had supported their other children with Scott and Lisa’s money. However, it was

Scott’s daughter, Serenity, providing them with a house and living expenses to fill their stomachs in the

end.

It was laughable and pathetic.

Sometimes, children loved most by their parents were the most ungrateful ones, while those their

parents neglected turned out to be filial.

That was what Old Mr. Hunt had experienced.

Fortunately, he and Old Mrs. Hunt could still look after themselves.
