Chapter 2403

Alice would still throw up every day. She did not gain any weight other than the baby’s throughout her

pregnancy. It hurt Clive to see her that way. He harped on about only having one child and refused tonovelbin

put Alice through another pregnancy again.

Due to his nagging, Alice wished she would give birth to a son. Although Clive did mention that he

preferred a daughter, she wished to have a son who could inherit the Stone family’s legacy.

Serenity often told Zachary about Alice’s honesty. Many people would refrain from revealing their

preference for a specific gender for fear of being accused of discrimination. However, Alice never failed

to be straightforward in saying she wanted a boy.

“Mom.”

Speaking of the devil, Serenity and Liberty heard Sonny’s voice.

At first, Liberty thought she was hearing things. It was still too early in the morning, and Sonny would

usually not be up.

After hearing his voice again, Serenity told Liberty, “It’s Sonny. He’s awake.”

Liberty exited the washroom. She saw her son opening the door and entering in his pajamas. It

seemed like he had just woken up and was rubbing his eyes.

“I’m here, Sonny.”

“Where’s Aunt Ser, Mom?”

Sonny woke up to an empty bed and thought Zachary had taken Serenity away. Therefore, he pouted

and said, “Why did Aunt Ser leave without waiting for me?

“I’m supposed to be the page boy, but Aunt Ser and Uncle Zak left me.”

Sonny started crying as he spoke.

Liberty laughed and lifted her son. She wiped his tears and said, “Your aunt is in the washroom. She

won’t leave you behind after assigning you as the page boy.”

Sonny stopped crying when he heard Serenity was in the washroom.

He asked to be put down and jogged into the washroom. He was relieved when he saw her washing up

inside.

“Good morning, Aunt Ser.”

Sonny smiled and greeted Serenity with streaks of tears on his face.

“Hey, Sonny. You’re up early.”

Sonny said, “I dreamt Uncle Zak taking you away without waiting for me. I was running and yelling

behind your car, but you never stopped.

“After that, I woke up and rushed over to find you. Luckily, you didn’t leave me behind.”

Liberty had requested a day off from school for Sonny as he was Serenity’s page boy. Since the

wedding was on a Friday, he would also have the weekend to rest before returning to preschool.

In an effort to get more holidays, Sonny told Serenity last night, “Aunt Ser, it’ll be great if you and Uncle

Zak have weddings every day. Mom will get me out of school every day to be your page boy.”

Everyone laughed at his words.

As a result, he got smacked in the butt by Liberty and had to write several pages of the alphabet as

punishment. His hands were sore from that.

Sonny could not understand why Aunt Ser and Uncle Zak could not have weddings on a daily basis.

Well, he probably should just go to school obediently. Otherwise, Liberty would spank him again.

No one could save him when he was being educated. Not even Aunt Ser.

“I always keep my promises. Why would I leave you behind if I wanted you as my page boy?”

Sonny was reassured.

After dilly-dallying for about ten minutes with Liberty’s nagging in the background, Serenity finally went

downstairs for breakfast with Sonny.
